February 06– Day Shift
3715 Ringgold Road (Abandoned vehicle):
A gold 2001 Buick Century was towed due to being abandoned after a city sticker was placed on the vehicle on 02/03/20. Broome’s towed the vehicle.
3725 Fountain Ave (Property damage):
Complainant reported that her gray 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer was damaged while parked in the parking lot of the apartment complex. She observed the damage on Monday 02/03/2020.
1317 Pleasant St (Suspicious Person):
Codes enforcement requested police assistance regarding homeless persons trespassing on the condemned property. The homeless party was gone prior to police arrival.

February 06 – Night Shift
Stateline Rd @ Wren Rd. (suspicious person):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a male party standing in the street yelling at passing cars. Upon arrival, the area was checked, the person was GOA.
941 Spring Creek Rd. (arrest):
Police were dispatched to this area regarding a male patient who left the ER with an IV port still in his arm. While in route, police were advised the subject had multiple warrants out of Red Bank. Police came in contact with the suspect, Steven Daughtery, in the 900 block of Spring Creek Road. The suspect then fled on foot from police, in which a brief chase ensued. The suspect became physically combative and continued to resist with force until taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
1532 A Mcbrien Rd. (theft):
While on patrol, police were flagged down by the resident who said just moments prior a tall male wearing dark pants and a dark shirt came on his porch. The resident stated the male party stole a small electric motor scooter and fled towards Ringgold Road. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
1516 Mcdonald Rd (Disorder):
Charles Harris was arrested on a Hamilton County Warrant after a verbal disorder occurred at this address.
1410 Mack Smith Road/ Budgetel Hotel (Domestic Assault):
Graham, Johnnie arrested for assaulting Melissa W.
I75 NB exit 1 (Miscellaneous):
Police received multiple reports of an overturned 18-wheeler laying on the side of the road. For each call, Police determined that the vehicle was located in Georgia and had been at the location for over 24 hours.

February 07 – Day Shift
1508 Merrill Street- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised a homeless person was sleeping in the front yard of this address. Upon arrival officers found Dillan G. asleep. Upon waking him he was advised not to return to this address.
4333 Greenbriar Avenue- Warrant Service-
Kenneth Walker was arrested on an East Ridge warrant at his residence.
1009 McBrien Road- Possible Theft in Progress-
The caller advised two black males in a red truck were loading up items on the property. Upon arrival police contacted the two males. It was found the males had permission to be on the property.
Warrant Service-
Jonathan Hatchett was served East Ridge warrant number 137802 while at 601 Walnut.
1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6)- AOA Warrant Service-
Brittany Hood was detained and transported to 601 on Hamilton County warrants. Karie Lawrence was also detained and transported on Hamilton County warrants.
3713 Ringgold Road (Subway)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a male standing in front of the business harassing customers. Upon police arrival the male had left the area. He was not located.

February 07– Night Shift
5800 Ringgold Road / Traffic Stop:
Police stopped vehicle for violation of light law. Driver failed to produce a DL and gave a false name and date of birth. After acquiring the correct name, NCIC divulged an active warrant for a No Bond PTR on possession of marijuana out of East Ridge City Court. Police took Stephen Wright Jr. into custody. His female passenger was taken into custody on a Hamilton County Warrant out of Sessions Court. Both parties were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
6401 Ringgold Rd. / Domestic Assault:
Officers responded to the McDonald’s regarding a domestic assault. Officers working security stated a female entered the business crying and rushed into the bathroom. Officers contacted the female and determined that she had been assaulted by her fiancé, David Tarpley. The victim had sustained a cut to her lip and was bleeding. Tarpley was located walking on foot in the 900 block of Spring Creek Rd. and taken into custody for Domestic Assault and public Intoxication.
601 Walnut Street/Warrant Arrest:
Desmond J. Marsh (Gearing) was arrested on Criminal Simulation warrants.
6514 Ringgold Road (MAPCO) / Theft of Property:
MAPCO reported that an Unknown Hispanic Male attempted to buy beer with another Hispanic male that was underage. The suspect became agitated because the clerk requested to see his identification as well. While the clerk served another customer, the suspect grabbed the two beers and exited the store. Another customer confronted the suspect causing him to place the beer on the sidewalk and attempt to get into a 2005 Hyundai Tucson. The driver, Jessica B., came out of the store telling him to get out of the vehicle. The suspect left the scene on foot heading South on McDonald Road. Jessica stated that she did not know the suspect but picked him up from the side of a road and gave him a ride to MAPCO.
6000 blk Ringgold Rd/ Diabetic Emergency:
Police received calls in reference to a red Acura driving south bound on Spring Creek Rd, due to the driver driving extremely slowly. Police made a traffic stop at this location. The driver was identified. Police notified EMS and Fire rescue. EMS discovered that the driver blood sugar was dangerously low. EMS transported the driver to Park Ridge East hospital. His vehicle was towed to Brooms Auto.
941 Spring Creek Rd. / Suspicious Activity:
While Puckett EMS was transporting a patient to Parkridge East police were notified they were being followed by an SUV who was flashing their lights at the ambulance. Police were able to intercept the SUV and make contact with the driver who advised he had no emergency but was simply trying to get to the hospital quickly to see his niece born. Police explained the dangers involved in this activity.
5800 Ringgold Rd. / Arrest:
Joey Thrower was taken into custody for DUI following a traffic stop at this location.
6514 Ringgold Road / Domestic Assault –
David Tarpley punched his fiance in the face while in an argument. She then went to McDonald’s where she was contacted by police. David was gone upon police arrival but was located shortly after on Spring Creek Road. Tarpley was taken into custody for domestic assault and transported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.

February 08 – Day Shift
We received another call about the tractor trailer on its side in Georgia. The wrecked vehicle hasn’t been removed due to the weather.
3320 Ringgold Road (Fabric Care Laundry)- Unwanted People/Warrant Service-
The caller advised of two people refusing to leave the business. Upon arrival police encountered Lakesha Crawford and Reggie R.. Crawford was found to have an East Ridge warrant. She was arrested and transported to 601.
6300 Ringgold Road (Krystal)- Unconscious Person/Arrest-
Police were called to the business on a female passed out in a vehicle. Upon arrival police located Nicole Dunn in her vehicle intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with DUI.
1200 South Seminole Drive- Traffic Crash/Arrest-
Police responded to a single vehicle collision in the 1200 block of South Seminole Drive. Upon contacting the driver, Medoza, Ricardo he advised he had no form of identification. Due to Mendoza having no proof of identity he was placed into custody for driving without a license, and due care. The vehicle was towed by Brooms due to vehicle damage. Mendoza was transported to the Hamilton County Jail for booking and processing.
601 Walnut Street- Violation of Conditions-
On February 8, 2020 at 0422 hours, David Tarpley called Nina M. while in booking of the Hamilton County Jail. Nina is the protected party in the conditions of Tarpley’s release. Tarpley’s bond was increase by the magistrate at the Hamilton County Jail.

February 08 – Night Shift
3218 Gleason Dr. #40 / Disorder:
Police responded to a disorder at this location between Cecil W. and Tonya Daniel. The disorder was reported by both parties to be verbal only. However, throughout the entire time police were investigating the incident. Daniel was in the breezeway of the apartment complex yelling profanities disturbing other residents. Daniel was taken into custody for disorderly conduct after she refused to follow commands and quite down.
3535 Claremont Ave / Felony Evading:
Police conducted a traffic stop at this location for registration violations. After the vehicle came to a stop it appeared to be having trouble due to being on a steep hill, the vehicle rolled back a few times and then continued to drive up the hill. It appeared to police the vehicle was going to relocate on flat ground. Police followed the vehicle a for a distance of about ¼ mile. Once the vehicle drastically increased its speed in an attempt to flee police. Police stopped, deactivated all emergency equipment, and started to issue a BOLO. While police were sitting still, they observed the vehicle crash into a tree a few houses away. A male party exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Police gave chased the suspect and were able to take him into custody. Guy Wilkerson was charged with felony evading, driving on suspended, and possession of marijuana.

February 09 – Day Shift
509 B South Saint Marks Avenue- Disorder with a Weapon/Domestic Assault/Aggravated Burglary-
Police were called to this address regarding a disorder. Upon arrival officers heard an active fight inside the residence. Officers forced their way into the home and observed Edward Davenport actively assaulting his wife. He was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault, aggravated burglary, and false imprisonment.
Warrant Service-
Jerry Fearn was served with an East Ridge warrant at 601.
1015 South Seminole Drive (Express Mart)- Vehicle Burglary-
The caller advised an unknown white male entered her vehicle and took her phone. She advised she had parked her vehicle in the parking lot and entered the store. The suspect parked his vehicle, got out, and entered the car. He then left the area. The suspect vehicle is a black pickup truck. The victim used her find my phone app and acquired a possible location for the phone at an address in Rossville Georgia. Walker County deputies responded to the area but did not locate the suspect vehicle or the phone.

February 09 – Night Shift
4214 Ringgold Rd. / Warrant Service:
East Ridge warrants were served on Jonathan Cochran while he was in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
Ringgold &Mcbrien/ Felony Evading:
Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a white Nissan Altima, due to the driver not having any taillights. The driver fled from police going south bound on Mcbrien Rd. Police were unable to get a registration on the vehicle. At this time the identity of the driver is unknown. Officers did not pursue.
Eads Street @ Beulah Drive/Crash-Property Damage:
Person, unknown, driving a large vehicle possibly a tractor trailer ran over a fire hydrant and a stop sign at the intersection of Eads Street and Beulah Drive and ran over a fire hydrant at the intersection of Beulah Drive and Frawley Road. Officers searched the area did not locate the vehicle. ERFD was notified of the damaged hydrants, Tennessee American Water was also notified.
