The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.
Sept. 23 Day Shift
4222 Ringgold Road (Auto Theft):
A woman reported her 2012 gray Ford Escape stolen from the Speedway parking lot on 9/21/19. The woman stated that her daughter, who was driving the vehicle, was arrested on that date and believed the vehicle had been towed following her arrest. The woman’s daughter was in the company of Sam M. when she was arrested. Earlier in the shift police checked a house on Altamira Drive, Sam M.’s residence, but did not locate the vehicle. Later in the shift the woman located her vehicle at Sam M.’s address.
806B Donaldson Road (Residential Fire):
Police and ERFD responded to this location on a residential fire. Heavy damage was reported after the fire was extinguished. No injuries.
1103 A S. Saint Marks Avenue (Assault):
A female subject followed a male juvenile into a neighbor’s residence following a verbal altercation and grabbed him by the face leaving a mark on the child’s face. A warrant for simple assault will be sought against her.
Juvenile Detention Center (Warrant service):
Taye Scoggins was arrested on an active East Ridge warrant for custodial interference and transported to 601 Walnut Street.
4005 Bennett Rd. Apt 3:
The caller reported that her niece broke into her house and stole her driver license.

Night Shift
1517 Tombras Ave. (assault in progress):
Police were dispatched to Pioneer Park, regarding a fight between multiple juvenile females. Police were advised while in route someone was actively tazing the other females. Upon police arrival, it was determined that 4 female juveniles were fighting. Also, an adult sibling to one of the juveniles had brought a Taser and began fighting and tasing the other juveniles. A video was shown to police of the incident and it was determined an aggravated assault had taken place as well as child endangerment. Police are currently seeking arrest warrants for two adults that were involved in the incident.
4340 Ringgold Rd. (criminal trespass):
Jeff Deyhle was criminally trespassed from the Food Lion per management.
601 Walnut St (Warrant Service):
Jason Ford was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on an active East Ridge warrant.
5736 Ringgold Road/Deceptive Practice:
A man filed a report stating his credit card was used at Oreilly’s Auto Parts for a cost of $50.42 cents at 15:43 hrs. There is no camera footage available.
3657 Ringgold Road/Rape:
A Female reported that she was sexually assaulted at the Cascades Motel. The female was interviewed and transported to the Rape Crisis Center.
