The Chattanooga Red Wolves’ win over South Georgia Tormenta on Saturday in Statesboro catapulted them up the standings in the USL Legue One standings.
The 2-1 win moved the Red Wolves (8-5-7) from sixth to third in the standings, trailing only North Texas and Lansing Ignite.
The Red Wolves’ Sito Seoane scored in the 57th minute, while Josue Soto scored the winning goal 85 minutes in. Goalkeeper Alex Mangels preserved the win by shutting out Tormenta’s free kicks late in the contest.
The Red Wolves return home next Saturday to host top-ranked North Texas at David Stanton Field.
