The following information was provided from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.
July 11– Day Shift
1515 Merrill Street:
The resident reported that she received a pop up on her computer stating there was a problem and to call 1-888-863-7127. She called the number and spoke to a person that identified themselves as John Collins. He claimed he was with Microsoft and remoted into her computer. He then stated that she needed to pay him money to fix the problem and became belligerent when she refused. Ms. Brimm contacted Microsoft Support and notified her bank about the incident.
1336 Blocker Lane:
The homeowner at this residence called police after his wife saw handprints on the rear window this morning. Police checked the area but did not locate anyone. He advised that he would be getting a security system installed.
5346 Ringgold Road:
William Burke and Angie Goodwin were criminally trespassed from the property after the property manager found Goodwin and all her luggage outside of apartment #4. William Burke was found sleeping in a chair next to apartment #4.
1619 Castleberry Road:
Dennis Dodson was arrested for aggravated domestic assault on his mother, Catherine Dodson. Mr. Dodson showed up at the home and forced his way into the home using an axe. He brandished a knife, placing his mother in fear of bodily harm. Mr. Dodson was currently out on bond for two (2) counts of aggravated domestic assault involving his son and grandson as victims.

July 11 – Night Shift
3222 Gleason Drive:
A call was received regarding an intoxicated man that was looking into parked vehicles. Samuel Helton was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and retaliation for past acts. An additional charge of assault was added due to Mr. Helton spitting in an officer’s face while in the holding cell.
601 Walnut Street:
Joshua Crump was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on two (2) separate warrants through East Ridge.
3815 Edwards Terrace:
Police responded to this location because a man had overdosed on Xanax pills. The subject had a prescription bottle that had a fill date of July 11th for 120 pills, but there were only six (6) pills left when police arrived on scene. He was transported to the hospital by EMS.
918 Donaldson Road:
The resident called in stating she left for work around 10:30 am and returned home around 4:30 pm. She stated when her boyfriend arrived home a little after her he noticed the license plate was not on her car.
5400 Ringgold Road:
Michael Stewart was arrested on a Bradley County warrant.

July 12 – Day Shift
4159 Ringgold Road:
While on patrol police observed a brick flower planter in the lot of the business had been destroyed by an unknown vehicle. Contact was made with the property caretaker and a report was filed. The incident occurred sometime during the night.
940 Spring Creek Road:
A caller advised he needed police assistance with a medical evaluation due to his alcohol dependency. He was assisted across the street to the hospital.
5519 Ringgold Road:
Police were dispatched regarding an ATM alarm at Tennessee Title Loans. Upon arrival, officers located a woman (customer) inside the closed business. The responsible for the business was contacted and responded. She advised the door was most likely left open overnight.
915 Mockingbird Drive:
The caller advised her two (2) vehicles were entered sometime during the night. The only thing missing was a small amount of cash.
100 Interstate 75:
A 1993 Chevrolet S-10 truck was reported as abandoned at the Tennessee Welcome Center.
939 State Line Road:
Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with a stolen vehicle that had run from an attempted traffic stop and crashed into the residence at 939 State Line Road. The male driver and female passenger fled the scene after the crash. The driver was identified as Charles Rudder.
6101 Ringgold Road:
Police were dispatched to Check into Cash regarding a report of fraud. Police spoke with the Senior Store Manager. The manager advised that on June 19th at 4:24 pm, David Williams, brought a Publix employee check written in the amount of $490.73. Mr. Williams was given $478.92 on that date. When Check into Cash attempted to cash the check it was found to be fraudulent. A copy of the check, receipt, check cashing information sheet, and Tennessee identification were placed into the secure storage at the East Ridge Police Department.
5611 Ringgold Road:
The manager of S/R Tanning and Apparel advised she wanted a customer to be trespassed from the business. The manager stated that a male customer had masturbated in the tanning booth and left bodily fluids on some of the equipment. She stated she wanted the customer to be criminally trespassed. A name, date of birth, and phone number were provided on a sign-in form, which the manager stated was the subject responsible for the incident she was reporting. Officers contacted the customer via telephone, and he verified his address and date of birth. He was issued a criminal trespass warning and advised not to return to the business.
South Seminole Drive / Bennett Road:
Evette Galloway was arrested on a Hamilton County warrant.

July 12 – Night Shift
6600 Ringgold Road:
DeKarlos Fort was arrested on several Hamilton County warrants.
6727 Ringgold Road:
A man turned in a wallet that was found in the parking lot of Wendy’s. The wallet and its contents were placed into secure storage at the East Ridge Police Department.
5348 Rose Street:
Police attempted to contact a party, named Needham, at the request of the Chattanooga Police Department. He is a person of interest in a case they are working.
823 Hardin Drive:
The reporting party stated that she observed a female at this location pick her dog up by the collar and strike it repeatedly with a closed fist. The reporting party plans to go to East Ridge Animal Services to provide the information as well.
2005 Tombras Avenue:
Police were notified about a female in her 30s wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt, who had opened the front door to the reporting party’s house. The reporting party stated when she realized the house was not vacant, she ran off. She did not give any information and declined police contact. Police were unable to locate any female matching the description given.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police spoke with a man at this location, who advised he is contracted to do construction work at the hospital. His work truck was parked on the east side of the building. The man advised that a Dewalt tool kit was taken from his truck. The kit contained approximately $1,500.00 worth of power tools.
1700 John Ross Road:
Police were dispatched to a rollover crash. The driver was issued a citation for driving on a revoked license and the vehicle was towed.
1140 John Ross Road:
Police were dispatched to this location after a caller reported that people wearing all black with white face masks came onto her property and vandalized her vehicle. Police observed the damage on the car and it appeared to be old damage.

July 13 – Day Shift
4150 Monroe Street:
A report of a shoplifting at the Walmart Neighborhood Market was received. The reporting party advised the suspect was a female that left in a black Honda Accord. Police observed the vehicle in the 4200 block of Ringgold Road. The vehicle was stopped on the lot of the Speedway. The driver, Katherine Caldwell, was found to have also shoplifted several items from the Food City as well. The total dollar amount stolen from Walmart was $54.28 and $146.72 from Food City. Ms. Caldwell was arrested for two (2) counts of shoplifting and one (1) count of driving without a license. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
1804 McBrien Road:
A caller advised police of a disorder between a man and a woman. The caller advised that the woman tried to strike the man with her vehicle. The caller advised that the woman left the area traveling south on Mcbrien Road. Upon arrival to the address and attempt was made to establish contact with someone inside, but efforts proved to be unsuccessful. A neighbor confirmed there was a verbal argument between the two (2) but advised he never observed a physical altercation.
1417 Saint Thomas Street:
A call was received from a subject wishing to report the theft of a Sanyo 40” television.
5700 Roper Street:
A caller advised that an assault occurred in apartment O-13. Police spoke to all subjects present and determined that no disorder occurred.
601 Walnut Street:
Tony Pickett was served with two (2) warrants.
1467 Mack Smith Road:
Police responded to Benchmark Physical Therapy on a report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, police spoke with John Waldon, who stated that he witnessed a black Honda Accord being driven by a female. He advised that the female driver drove the car into a male subject. He said the impact of the collision caused the male subject to be launched up and over the top of the vehicle and caused the window of the car to break. The driver of the vehicle, Shunica Ramsey, was located on North Moore Road in the City of Chattanooga by the Chattanooga Police Department. Ms. Ramsey stated that she was hit in her right eye by Victor Towns and that Mr. Towns hit her windshield with his fist and broke the windshield. Ms. Ramsey was transported to the hospital to have her eye looked at. Later, police met with Mr. Towns at the police station and he wrote out his statement of the incident. Mr. Towns had injuries to his left leg that required stitches. He said he and Ms. Ramsey rented a room from the Budgetel on July 12th. He said that Ms. Ramsey showed up this morning and started yelling at him, so he left the room and started walking. Mr. Towns said the next thing he knew he heard a loud motor and he turned around and she hit him with the car.
5310 Clemons Road:
A caller advised dispatch that a woman came into the business and was asking how much a room was. Employees advised officers that the woman was last seen walking through the church parking lot. After a short search of the area, police located the woman and identified her as Jessica Board. Ms. Board was last seen in a stolen vehicle the day prior when she fled from Catoosa County, GA deputies after a traffic stop was initiated. Ms. Board had an active warrant through General Sessions Court and was taken into custody. A key for a Volkswagen was in her right front pocket. Ms. Board advised that the driver of the car from yesterday had given her the key and told her to throw it away. The key was placed into secure storage at the East Ridge Police Department.
3657 Ringgold Road:
While on patrol, police observed a woman standing in front of a white Chevrolet Tahoe yelling. Officers attempted to contact the female. The driver of the Tahoe drove away. The woman was sitting in the ditch and crying. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the driver of the Tahoe and encountered Dayle Crayton. Mr. Crayton advised that he and the woman, Heather Melford, were involved in a verbal disorder over a cellular phone charger and when Mr. Crayton attempted to leave, Ms. Melford stepped in front of his vehicle to stop him. Mr. Crayton said that Ms. Melford then came around to the passenger side of his Tahoe and attempted to pull off his passenger side mirror. Mr. Crayton then drove off traveling west on Old Ringgold Road. Ms. Melford held onto the mirror and let go shortly thereafter. East Ridge Fire Department personnel and EMS responded to check on Ms. Melford, but she refused medical treatment upon their arrival. Mr. Crayton and Ms. Melford were separated and went their separate ways. Mr. Crayton was issued a traffic citation for driving on a revoked license. Officers also located a counterfeit $100 bill on Ms. Melford’s person. The counterfeit money was seized and placed into secure storage at the East Ridge Police Department.
14 Laurel Lane:
A caller advised police of a suspicious truck on an abandoned/condemned property. Police located the vehicle and it appeared to have been stripped for parts. Upon checking the VIN, the vehicle was discovered to be stolen out of Lafayette, GA. Walker County Sheriff’s Office was contacted, and the car was towed.
914 Donaldson Road:
A caller advised that sometime during the night an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and took his gun (Springfield XD .40 caliber).

July 13 – Night Shift
600 Belvoir Avenue:
A 2008 Chevrolet Impala was traveling north, lost control and struck a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling south.
4214 Ringgold Road:
Wesley Norwood was arrested on an East Ridge warrant for FTA while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
201 Eads Street:
Police assisted a mental health consumer with transportation to Parkridge East Hospital after the subject had a psychiatric episode.
1100 Spring Creek Road:
Police transported a man from the 1100 block of Spring Creek Road to Parkridge East Hospital after the man flagged police down and stated that he was seeing spirits chasing after him.
1500 Truman Avenue:
Police assisted a woman after she called 911 stating that she was intoxicated and was lost. She had walked off from a house party on Castleberry Avenue and lost her way. She was relocated to the Castleberry address where her friends would look after her for the remainder of the evening.
1500 Keeble Street:
Kristopher Kresser was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
3638 Bennett Road:
Police blocked lanes of travel for EPB, so they could cut tree limbs off power lines and renew power to local residents.
4100 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to assist the Tennessee Highway Patrol on a high risk stop of a stolen vehicle. ERPD and THP were able to successfully take the suspect into custody for several warrants, as well as possession of the stolen vehicle.
5301 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to Walgreen’s after it was reported there was an “aggressive male party shooting up in the bathroom.” Once on scene, the male party was identified, consented to a search, and found to be clear of any warrants. Tommy Garrett received a criminal trespass warning from East Ridge Police at the request of Walgreen’s employees.
915 South Seminole Drive:
Police were dispatched regarding several people out in the parking lot playing loud music. Everyone was gone upon arrival of police.
4003 Patton Edwards Drive:
Police were called to respond to an unconscious person that may have overdosed. Police encountered a female, who admitted that she had “shot up” heroin just prior to the arrival of Police and Fire personnel. The female was transported by EMS to the hospital.

July 14 – Day Shift
3814 Altamira Drive:
Police responded to this address regarding CPR in progress. Upon arrival, a male was found in the bathtub and was unresponsive. He was breathing faintly. He was relocated to the bathroom floor and two (2) doses of Narcan were administered. Police were advised by the caller that the male subject had taken heroin around 5:55 am and then became unresponsive. When the male regained consciousness, he advised that he had taken two (2) milligrams of heroin this morning but wasn’t sure about the time it was taken. He refused transport to the hospital. Officers on scene recovered a white Chevrolet Lumina that was reported stolen out of Chattanooga.
6408 Ringgold Road:
An alarm was activated at Firehouse Subs. Police responded and found an open door on the rear of the business. The building was cleared and a responsible was contacted. Upon her arrival it was noted that nothing appeared to have been disturbed.
5707 Ringgold Road:
Police received a call about two (2) females shoplifting from Dollar General. Upon arrival, officers observed Sekera Twitty and Chiquita Twitty leaving the store with the stolen merchandise. They were taken into custody and charged with the theft. Chiquita Twitty was also served with several East Ridge warrants.

July 14 – Night Shift
5321 Spriggs Street:
Police responded to this location in reference to a noise complaint. Upon arrival police noticed a large Bluetooth speaker on the front porch playing music loudly, as well as several empty bottles of vodka. Police were unable to establish contact with the resident at this location but were able to turn the speaker off.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police transported a male patient from Parkridge East hospital to Moccasin Bend for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
