The following information was gleaned from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.
July 2 Day Shift
782 Marley Way:
Police responded to this location after an unresponsive man was found by his wife in their home. The man was deceased. The doctor of the decedent agreed to sign the death certificate.
3608 Fountain Avenue:
A caller advised that two (2) male subjects were fighting again at 3608 Fountain Avenue. Police arrived on scene and discovered that both subjects had already left the area.
1148 South Seminole Drive:
Police assisted East Ridge Fire Department personnel on a call involving burns received by a man that was attempting to light a charcoal grill. The injured man was transported to the hospital.
5320 Connell Street:
The resident advised police that a former friend has been coming by his residence uninvited. He said that the former friend was attempting to steal his motorcycle and some tools.

Night Shift
100 Hilldale Drive:
East Ridge Fire and Police Department personnel responded to a residential fire in the City of Ridgeside. Once on scene, Fire Department personnel determined that the fan motor in an HVAC unit seized, which resulted in smoke filling the home.
3713 Ringgold Road:
Police responded twice to an activated alarm at the Subway. The business was found to be secure during both incidents.
1563 Burns Avenue:
Police assisted East Ridge Fire Department personnel at this house regarding a small residential stove fire.
6503 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to the Hardees Restaurant regarding a report of an assault. Phillip Cureton was arrested for domestic assault after a woman advised he grabbed her and pinned her head against the wall and spat on her. Employees at the restaurant advised they heard screaming, but Mr. Cureton was walking away when they went out to see what was occurring. Mr. Cureton was located hiding behind an RV off Mack Smith Road.
4348 Ringgold Road:
Two women were involved in a disorder after a woman at the drive-thru at Checkers cursed the cashier. The customer claimed her food order was wrong. The cashier then came outside to confront the cursing customer.
