The following information was provided by East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.
May 02 – Day Shift
6642 Ringgold Road:
Police arrived at the Econo Lodge after a subject was transported to the hospital following an overdose of an unknown substance.
6642 Ringgold Road:
Donavan Aaron, hailing from room 213 of the Econo Lodge, was taken into custody for several active warrants through Soddy Daisy, TN and Red Bank, TN.
1410 North Mack Smith Road:
Jimi Pendegrass was arrested at the Budgetel for domestic assault after slapping his girlfriend in the face. Mr. Pendegrass was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
601 Walnut Street:
Sherry Varner was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on four (4) active East Ridge warrants. The warrants were issued for three charges of forgery and one charge of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card.
601 Walnut Street:
Charles Robert Harris was served with three (3) East Ridge warrants for evading arrest, domestic assault, and public intoxication.
Champion Road / Harrison Pike:
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office detained Doriam Arturo Mota at this location after it was confirmed he had an active East Ridge warrant for his arrest. East Ridge Police responded and transported Mr. Mota to the Hamilton County Jail.
Pioneer Playground / Tombras Avenue:
Police responded to the playground due to multiple teenagers were acting up. The unruly youths were uncooperative with police. They were made to leave the playground due to exceeding the posted age limit on the property.
May 02 – Night Shift
4321 Esterbrook Drive:
Isaiah Pittman was arrested for disorderly conduct. Mr. Pittman and his sister were involved in a disorder after his sister caught him stealing money from her purse. She did not wish to pursue criminal charges for the theft.
918 South Crest Road:
The caller told dispatch that a female at the home left the residence on foot after making suicidal threats and after picking up a gun inside the home. Police encountered the woman at 1600 John Ross Road. She advised that she was not suicidal. Officers spoke with the caller who provided a recording of the incident when the threats were made. The woman was then transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
6715 Ringgold Road:
The store manager reported that an unknown woman attempted to pass a counterfeit $10 bill as genuine for the purchase of shampoo and conditioner. The woman allowed the store manager to keep the counterfeit bill, paid for her money with official U.S. Currency, and left the store. Security video footage capturing the incident was provided to police.
1547-B Burns Avenue:
A caller stated that he heard seven (7) successive gunshot noises outside of their home. The caller said that prior to the incident he saw a dark colored Toyota Camry with tinted windows parked on the road in front of his house. According to the caller, the vehicle left the area in a hurry after the sounds of gunshots were heard. Police did not locate any brass or damage to anything in the area consistent with gunshots. The vehicle, mentioned by the caller, was not located.
6401 Ringgold Road:
Richard Holland was arrested for driving on a revoked license and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
May 03 – Day Shift
1508 East Ridge Avenue:
The caller advised that an unknown suspect took her son’s bicycle from the yard sometime during the night. She advised that the bicycle was last seen around 8:00 pm and she suspects that a suspicious man and woman she saw walking around the area may be responsible for the theft.
3812 Altamira Drive:
A caller advised that her patient had become agitated and left the home. Officers located the patient and transported her back to the home.
3210 Castle Avenue:
A caller requested police to check on an elderly woman who was locked out of her residence. Officers made contact with the woman and they were able to contact family members, who located a key to the residence.
1806 McBrien Road:
A caller advised that an unknown suspect entered his vacant residence last night. Entry was made through a broken rear window. He is missing a Porter Cable air compressor and a radio.
3824 Ringgold Road:
Police were dispatched to this location after a glass break alarm was activated. Officers checked the vacant business and found it to be secure.
Bachman Tunnel:
Police were dispatched to this location regarding an 18-wheeler getting stuck inside the tunnel. Officer arrived on scene and assisted the driver in removing the truck from the tunnel.
5301 Ringgold Road:
A caller advised of a woman passed out in the drive-thru at Walgreens Pharmacy. East Ridge Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the scene as well. Once on scene, the East Ridge Fire Department handled the call. The woman refused to the transported for any additional medical assistance.
1100 Spring Creek Road:
A caller requested police to respond due to a six (6) year old student running away from the school. Officers were cancelled during their response after the child was located by school staff.
Pioneer Park / Tombras Avenue:
A juvenile reported the theft of his backpack and cellular phone. The theft was said to have occurred at the park and the items had been left unattended.
1544 Burns Avenue:
A caller advised that his son found several shell casings in the area of this address. Officers responded and collected the shell casings.
3206 Ringgold Road:
A caller advised police of a suspicious man at the East Ridge Car Wash. The caller said the man was on a bicycle and was harassing customers. The suspicious man was gone upon police arrival. He was last seen traveling in the direction of South Seminole Drive.
1014 John Ross Road:
A call was received from the counselor at East Ridge Elementary School regarding a possible incident of child abuse. The allegation is being investigated.
4214 Ringgold Road:
Police spoke with a complainant at the East Ridge Police Service Center. She advised that she had received an unsolicited text message on April 5th. The message advertised making $500.00 a month allowing a company to place ads on your car in the form of “wraps.” The complainant said she clicked on the hyperlink and completed a form. She said she was contacted again via text message and told that a Fed-Ex letter would arrive with a large check. She was instructed to place the check into her bank account and then send the sender a portion of the funds. The enclosed check was made out for $2,600.00. She deposited the check on April 29th and believed that the check had cleared and wrote two (2) checks against the deposited funds. Each check written was written for $1,000.00. She mailed the checks to 24 Corless Street, Providence, Rhode Island. The checks were mailed on April 30th and sent to a person named Mike Foster. The next day, she started receiving more text messages asking her to send more money to cover installation and other miscellaneous costs. She said that she became suspicious and contacted “Mike,” who hung up on her when she asked if it was a scam.
May 03 – Night Shift
3730 Fountain Avenue:
O’Neal Scott was arrested for stalking and vandalism. He had harassed the resident on two (2) occasions by banging on the windows and doors asking to be let in for a sexual encounter. On the second occasion he broke the bathroom window.
5506 Sunny Dell Lane:
Police responded to a call of a person shot. An individual had shot himself in the right leg with a 9mm pistol.
4145 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to the Lomenacque Apartments due to a verbal disorder. The neighbors became worried that an assault was taking place after a guitar fell from the balcony during the disorder. No evidence of an assault was observed by police.
4145 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to apartment D34 on a possible heroin overdose. Once on scene, police administered Narcan to a male subject, who never gained consciousness while police were present. Lifeguard EMS transported the male subject to the hospital. After police delivered Narcan, the male subject’s girlfriend advised they had called a friend to come deliver Narcan and did not call 911 until they realized it was not effective.
5800 Ringgold Road:
Charlton Kyle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and driving on a revoked license.
May 04 – Day Shift
Ringgold Road / Maxwell Road:
Police responded to a report of a traffic crash. The driver, Jessica Stro, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The canine passenger in the car was transported to East Ridge Animal Hospital by East Ridge Animal Services personnel. Dispatch advised officers that Ms. Stro was wanted through Hamilton County. Later in the shift, Ms. Stro was observed at Broome’s Wrecker attempting to enter her vehicle to retrieve property. She was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail after verification of a warrant.
601 Walnut Street:
Dupri Senters was served with an East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.
6007 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to GT Buy, Sell, and Trade regarding a suspicious person. Police were advised that a man with tattoos on his face was acting strange in the store. Upon arrival, officers encountered Max Lawson in the parking lot. Mr. Lawson was checked through dispatch and found to have non-extraditable warrants out of Texas. He was advised to move along.
1410 North Mack Smith Road:
Police responded to the Budgetel after receiving a call about a subject that was supposed to have warrants. The caller advised police that Anthony Killian Jr., had multiple warrants out for his arrest. The caller said that Mr. Killian was in room 3025. Officers discovered that there wasn’t a room 3025 at the hotel. The caller was contacted and advised that the room was 3205. Officers checked the room and checked with the front desk personnel. The subject was last seen walking away from the hotel in the direction of the retirement center and the Fairfield Inn. Officers checked the area and were advised by bystanders that the subject was observed walking toward the McDonald’s Restaurant. Police located the subject at McDonalds. He was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
May 04 – Night Shift
3214 Gleason Drive:
A caller reported hearing yelling and screaming from apartment 22. Police responded but were unable to get anyone to come to the door. Officers did not hear anything coming from the apartment.
1603 South Seminole Drive:
A caller reported hearing glass breaking at 1603 or 1607 South Seminole Drive. Police found the mail box at 1603 South Seminole knocked down.
May 5 – Day Shift
1406 St. Thomas Street:
Police responded with the East Ridge Fire Department and EMS to this location to be present in case intervention was necessary.
762 South Seminole Drive:
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a tree that had fallen onto the power lines. EPB and East Ridge Street Department personnel responded and removed the tree.
1015 Yale Street:
A call was received about a suspicious homeless man standing in front of the East Ridge Animal Shelter. The caller advised the man was smoking. The man was told by police to move along.
601 Walnut Street:
Porscha Woods was served with an East Ridge warrant.
William Holland was served with an East Ridge warrant.
James Nicholson was served with an East Ridge warrant.
6700 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to the Quality Inn and spoke with a woman. The woman said that sometime between 9:30 pm and 8:20 am someone cut the lock off their U-Hail trailer. She said the trailer was entered and property was stolen. She advised that she is missing a black Insigna 40” flat screen television and a black tote bag with “Orlando” on the side.
6642 Ringgold Road:
A caller stated that she had been raped at the Econo Lodge the previous night. The caller advised the incident occurred around midnight. The caller said that she returned to Marion County without calling the police. The caller later said that she was not sure if the rape occurred but wished to file a report. The on-call detective was contacted and advised of the situation. The caller was encouraged to go to the partnership for testing.
6408 Ringgold Road:
While officers were at Firehouse Subs a subject inside the restaurant complained of chest pains. East Ridge Fire Department personnel and EMS were called to the scene and the subject was transported to the hospital.
1638 South Seminole Drive:
Police responded to this location with the East Ridge Fire Department and EMS regarding a fall victim.
1614 Adair Avenue:
A caller advised that a man was walking in the area doing “Karate” moves and carrying an alcoholic beverage. Upon arrival to the location police encountered Miguel Cuevas. He was sent on his way.
May 5 – Night Shift
541 Wando Drive:
A caller from out of town reported seeing someone on her security cameras “messing” with her vehicle. Police checked the area, and nothing appeared to be disturbed.
4320 Bennett Road:
Police responded to East Ridge High School after receiving a call about a Ford truck parked by the soccer field with an unconscious man inside. The caller said the truck had been there since Friday. Police arrived on scene and found the truck, but nobody was inside the truck. Police were able to identify the vehicle as one belonging to a City worker who takes care of the fields.
5600 Ringgold Road:
Jacob Cheek was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
601 Walnut Street:
Robert Locklear was served with an East Ridge warrant for driving on a suspended license.
1417 St. Thomas Street:
William Gurley was arrested for indecent exposure after staff at the Motel 6 observed him masturbating in the parking lot. Management also had several videos of Mr. Gurley participating in the same activities in the stairwells of the motel on several occasions.
1503 McDonald Road:
Police observed two (2) males sitting in a vehicle outside of the Waverly Motel. An odor of marijuana effused from the interior of their vehicle. John Holmes Jr. was in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.
