East Ridge pushed 27 runs across the plate sweeping a double-header against Brainerd, Monday, on the Pioneers’ home field.
The wins improve East Ridge’s district record to 4-4 and 4-7 overall. The Pioneers will next play on Thursday when they travel across town to take on CSAS. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
In game one, a 14-0 shut-out, Zach Smart ultimately provided all the offense East Ridge would need with two inside-the-park homers, as he went 3-for-3 on the day. Justin Tiller went 2-for -2.
Isaac King evened his pitching record on the year (2-2), allowing only three hits in the shutout win.
In game two, a 13-1 win, Tiller got the win evening his record at 2-2 on the year. He also picked up three RBI’s, going 2-for-2 at the plate. King had a couple of base hits and drove in three runs and scored.
Zach Smart got in on the action going 2-for-2 and knocking in a pair of runs.
