One Injured in I-75 Crash

One person was injured in a car accident on Interstate 75, officials said Friday.

According to East Ridge Fire Chief Mike Williams, firefighters were dispatched to a two-car accident at about 2:15 p.m. When first responders arrived they found one person trapped under the dash of their vehicle. Williams said hydraulic tools were used to free the person from the vehicle. The injured person was taken to a local hospital by Puckett EMS.

“Great job to Blue Shift and all that were involved,” Chief Williams said on the city’s Fire and Rescue Facebook page.
