After reviewing this past week’s political circus in District 8, l am totally in shock and awe that a grown man, one who has been elected by the city he lives in, cannot see he is being used and played by people that he thought he could trust.
Whoever had the idea for him to parade his family in front of cameras on the courthouse lawn to hold a press conference about situations they should not be involved in at their ages. I cannot believe his attorney would advise him that this was a “good idea and would benefit his run for commissioner.” Remind me to NEVER use that attorney for any of my legal needs.
I am a father, l would never put any of my children in front of a news camera and the reporters for a political office. My God, are you that desperate to impress a group of people that will forsake you the first time they no longer need you? I really thought you were more intelligent than that.
Has our country, and our society decided that morals, values, and scruples aren’t necessary when it comes to political office, elections, and business development or whatever the situation? It’s sad that we taxpayers end up footing the bill for these “educated, experienced and elected officials” to burden our already overcrowded court system with this childish, idiotic playground behavior. I am beginning to believe that neither one of these people are capable of completing this election process and need to sit out this election, similar to “time out” for children.
That is what l am seeing right now, two grown men WITH families acting like immature 5th graders. Give all of us a break!
Maybe both of these men can get a job with Wolftever Development, Exit 1 LLC, Exit 2LLC, Exit 3LLC and God only knows what other multiple shell companies that these developers have lined up out there in anticipation of expanding more in District 8 rather than just East Ridge.
All this unneeded drama is wasting time, money and effort in areas that are more in need. Tell me how and when you are going to make me feel safe on my streets and in my house? When are you going to get busy with your redevelopment authority? How and when are you going to bring new business into our city?
Our citizens NEED to get involved. It can’t be done by a select few and make progress. We need LEADERS that can do this. Maybe this would be a good time to clean house (drain the swamp) and start all over with ALL new leaders.
