A routine “disorder” call has led to the arrest of an East Ridge woman on drug charges.
Noe Jayne Simmons, 23, of a Bennett Road address, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale. She is due to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on Feb. 27.
According to an affidavit of complaint, on Tuesday officers were dispatched to 4006 Bennett Road in reference to a disorder. When officers arrived they spoke to a juvenile male who said that his sister was “tweaking” and tearing up the house. The report states that officers found the sister, Simmons, in the living room hallucinating. Simmons told police that people in the house were not who they were saying they were, and insisted that police go under house for some unknown reason.
The report states that Simmons tried to grab an officer and had to be restrained. She was taken to the ground and handcuffed to better control her movements. According to the report, because there was not a female officer present, officers asked Simmons’ mother to search her pockets. Inside one of Simmons’ pockets was a small bag containing suspected methamphetamine. The report does not state the quantity of the suspected drug found on Simmons.
Simmons was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
