_ 6116 Ringgold Rd.: Police responded to the Citgo at this address, Monday evening, on a report of an attempted armed robbery. According to a police report, when officers arrived they spoke with the convenience store clerk. The man told officers that a black man entered the store at about 10 p.m., pointed a handgun at him, then immediately took off. The suspect appeared to be in his early 20’s and was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, black athletic pants, black gloves, black shoes. The man had a white mask over his face.
According to the report, the clerk told police that the man never spoke. He came in, brandished the firearm, and then ran from the store in the direction of Taco Bell. A search of the area by police did not turn up a suspect. Police have a video surveillance tape of the incident and the case has been assigned to a detective for further investigation.
_ 3608 Maiden Dr.: Police were dispatched to the address, Sunday morning, in regard to a reported car burglary. According to a police report. an officer spoke with the victims, a man and his wife, who said there were three vehicles in their driveway that were burglarized overnight. The male victim told police that his Glock pistol and his wallet containing cash and ID and credit cards were taken from his Dodge Ram pickup. His wife reported that a new box of checks, along with custom Oakley sunglasses were taken from her Mustang. Banking documents were taken from the woman’s Jeep Cherokee.
The report states that the victims have no idea who may have stolen these items from their vehicles. They told police that there has been no criminal activity in their neighborhood and they had no idea who may be responsible. The victims told police that they frequently leave their vehicles unlocked when parked in their driveway. The report states there was no evidence of forced entry into the vehicles. Officers told the couple to contact their bank concerning the stolen cards and banking information, and to pay close attention to potential fraud and scams using their personal information.
