A motorist driving with a tail light out has led to the arrest of a Rossville man on drug charges, Monday.
Preston M. Bogh, 22, of a Loach Drive address in Rossville, was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on charges of Possession of Heroin for Resale, Possess of Schedule VI for Resale, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving under the Influence.
According to an affidavit of complaint, an officer saw a silver Mitsubishi traveling south on McDonald with a brake light not functioning. The officer stopped the car and made contact with the driver, later identified as Bogh. The report says that the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked Bogh to keep his hands in view. Bogh, however, continuously moved around in the vehicle. Bogh was taken out of the vehicle for a probable cause search, the report states.
A search of the vehicle produced a blue bag in the passenger floor board containing four syringes, one of which was loaded with heroin. In addition, police found three digital scales, hundreds of plastic baggies, a mason jar with marijuana residue, a baggie with a crushed methadone wafer wrapped in foil and a pill bottle containing two shards of methamphetamine. A quart mason jar found in the trunk of the vehicle contained marijuana shake, the report states.
It is unclear when Bogh is due to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court.
