_ 4011 Ringgold Rd.: Police were called to the Kangaroo Gas Station last Thursday on an assault call. According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the address at 10:14 on “unknown trouble.” While en  route, police were advised that a black male had run into the business saying that people were trying to shoot him, and locked himself in the bathroom. When officers arrived they saw a white male in the parking lot with his left hand in his pocket. The report states that officers were going to get out with the man but the clerk at the store urgently called for help inside the business. Due to multiple parties milling around in the parking lot, officers locked the door to the business and made contact with the victim inside the bathroom. The juvenile victim told officers that there had been a large fight at the Pioneer Frontier Playground next to City Hall. The victim told police that at one point during the fight a white male (no description given) pulled up his shirt and was scene to be in possession of a revolver with a brown handle. The report states that the juvenile victim took off and ran through various businesses’ parking lots on Ringgold Road before going to the Kangaroo. The victim claimed he was being chased by two white males and that three vehicles were also involved in the altercation. The report states the victim was uncooperative with police and continued to change his story as to the facts leading up to his arrival at the business. The juvenile was released into the custody of his aunt, the report states.

_ Multiple car burglaries or attempts to break into vehicles have been reported to the East Ridge Police Department in recent weeks. Reported burglaries took place on Aug. 30-31 on Pyron Drive, South Moore, Madonna and Shadowlawn Road. Many of the vehicles were left unlocked, reports state. Several cars had been damaged as the suspects were trying to force entry. Items taken during the burglaries included, sunglasses, IPods and  cell phones. Police remind all residents to not leave valuables in your vehicle and always to lock your car.

_ 2114 Dugan St.: Police were called to the address, Monday, on a reported burglary. According to a police report, the resident told officers that he left the house at 7:50 a.m. and when he returned after 6 p.m. the south side door to his garage was open. The victim told officers that the burglar apparently entered the house through the garage door and went into the house. The report states that the back door to the house was standing open with a black guitar case on the floor next to it. The victim told officers he was missing a Playstation, two XBox units, a Smith & Wesson MP-15, a bluetooth speaker,  a gold/diamond necklace and silver/diamond earrings. The homeowner assigned a value of $5,000 to the stolen items.

_ 3231 Castle Ave.: A neighbor called police on Aug. 28, telling dispatchers that he had witness two black males, one carrying a rifle, running to a parked car in the driveway of the address. According to a police report, when officers arrived they found that the rear door was broken and the front door had been kicked in. The victim told police that the burglars had taken a 55-inch television from the living room, several guns from the master bedroom and an upstairs hall closet and about 1,000 rounds of ammunition. An investigator processed the scene for evidence, the report states.
