Pedestrian Struck on Ringgold Road

A man was struck while crossing Ringgold Road late Thursday evening.

According to an East Ridge Police Department press release, the incident happened in the 5300 block of Ringgold Road at about 10 p.m. When officers arrived they found Dale Henderson had been hit by a car and was suffering from severe injuries.

The press release says that Henderson, who was wearing all black clothing, was attempting to cross the highway in front of the Apollo Car Wash when the incident occurred. The man was taken to Erlanger Medical Center with possible neck and head injuries.

Police said the driver of the car remained on the scene and cooperated with officers. No charges have been filed and the investigation is continuing.
