_ 6500 Block of Ringgold Rd.: At almost 4 a.m. on Oct. 12, Catoosa County police notified East Ridge PD that a silver Jeep Cherokee had struck an object in the 6500 block of Ringgold Road. The deputy said that the vehicle didn’t stop after striking a telephone pole and was seen traveling south on McDonald Rd. According to a police report, an ERPD officer was in the area and encountered the suspect vehicle approaching Empire Drive. The suspect vehicle almost struck a marked patrol car head on and then accelerated traveling west on Empire Drive. The vehicle was pursued by three police officers and lost a right rear tire at the entrance of Green Acres Trailer Park but continued traveling through the facility. The report states the vehicle eventually crashed into a tree at 194 American Boulevard where the driver took off on foot. The immediate area was searched by police but the suspect was unable to be located.
According to the report, an abandoned cell phone was found with a Facbook account logged into an individual. The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene to work the crash site. EPB was contacted due to the damaged power pole. According to the report, several hours after the incident the vehicle was reported stolen from Catoosa County.
_ 2281 Camp Jordan Pkwy.: Police were called to the Motel 6 on Oct. 13 in regard to found narcotics. According to a police report, officer spoke with motel management who sad that the cleaning staff entered Room 123 after check out time to find that they had left their belongings in the room but were not present. The cleaning staff noticed lines of a white powdery substance believed to be illegal drugs and reported it to management. Motel staff took police to the room where officers noticed five lines of the powder on a table. Motel staff located a red cigarette pack containing a bag of 4.4 grams of marijuana. The report states that the drugs were seized and placed into property and evidence.
An woman whose name was used to rent the room was identified. However, the report states that no items associated with a woman having stayed there was located. Police tried to contact the woman by phone but was unsuccessful. According to the report, shortly after police cleared the scene, motel management called ERPD saying that a white male and white female in a white Chevy Impala was on the scene trying to reenter Room 123. When officers responded back to the scene, the two subjects fled in the Impala at a high rate of speed north on Interstate 75.
The report states that police did not pursue and were unable to get tag information on the vehicle. The white powdery substance on the table field tested positive for cocaine. There are no charges at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
_ 6300 Ringgold Rd.: On Monday, a police officer on routine patrol saw a gold sedan parked on the west side of the Krystal restaurant occupied by a white male and two white females. According to a police report, the officer approached the vehicle and introduced himself. The people in the car gave the officer their names and other information. The report states that when the officer ran the names of the vehicle’s occupants through a criminal data base, it was discovered that two of the three had outstanding warrants from Hamilton County and Ft. Oglethorpe.
The female with outstanding warrants, Jennifer Michelle Wilson, admitted to the officer that she was in possession of a bag of Methamphetamine (2.3 grams) and two syringes that were stuffed in her underwear.
Wilson, 39 of a Sweetland Drive address in Red Bank, was charged with Possession of Schedule II Drugs.
