_ 6947 Tiffany Ln.: Police were called to the address, Tuesday, on a reported theft. According to a police report, the resident told officers that he went out of town for several days and left the house in the care of his roommate. When he returned the man discovered that a Cannon EX camera with two lenses, a Panther Arms AR-15 rifle, a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun and an XP laptop computer were missing. The roommate told officers that several people had “come and gone” from the house during the residents vacation. The report states that the roommate was unable to provide suspect information.
_ 5319 Ringgold Rd.: Police were called to the Family Dollar, Tuesday, on a reported theft. According to a police report, employees saw a man removing anti-theft devices from merchandise and clothing valued at $10. When an employee approached the man, he denied his actions and ran from the store. He was last seen entering a small, black vehicle with a tag number that did not come back on file. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Ringgold Road.
_ Two car break-ins were reported on Clemmons Road Sunday and Monday. According to police reports, the two cars were in the 5300 and 5400 block of Clemmons. One vehicle, a 2000 Jeep, had its plastic rear window slashed and thieves took a Garmin GPS. In the other reported car burglary loose change and a checkbook were taken from the vehicle, according to a report.
_ 1410 N. Mack Smith: Police arrested a resident of Superior Creek Lodge, charging him with Domestic Assault. Police responded to the motel, Tuesday, on a call of a possible disorder. According to a police report, when officers arrived they saw a woman who told them that her brother, Terry Eugene Carroll, 38, and she had been in a verbal altercation that later became physical. According to an affidavit of complaint, the victim told officers she borrowed Carroll’s vehicle to take a trip to Walmart. When she returned with the vehicle, Carroll began yelling at her that the vehicle had been damaged while in her care. Carroll, the report states, continued to yell at the victim and told her to get out of his apartment, then struck her in the left side cheek. The victim left the room and contacted security. The report states that officers and the security guard went to Carroll’s room. Carroll told officers that he told his sister to leave the room and they got into a verbal argument. The report states that the officer asked the Carroll if he had struck the victim, and he denied it. The officer noticed Carroll’s hand was bleeding, and he told police that he had cut himself earlier. The report states that “the fact that the victim had blood on her face and red abrasion on her cheek,” the officer placed the suspect in custody. Carroll is due to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on Sept. 8.
