_ 6674 Ringgold Rd.: Police were dispatched to the Rodeway Inn early Saturday morning in regards to a possible robbery of a person. According to a police report, officers spoke with a man who said his money was stolen by two acquaintances in his motel room, and that he narrowly avoided being stabbed. The victim said that he was entertaining a couple that he knew in his room when they left the room with $100 of his cash. The victim told police that the money was inside his wallet in a nightstand. That money was gone when the man and woman left the room. The report states that when the victim realized the money was gone he chased after them in the parking lot. When he stopped them, the male reached into the back pack of the female and produced a knife and made threatening gestures. The victim told police that he thought he was “going to get stabbed.” The report states that the two suspects then got into a white Chevy Blazer and drove off. Police were unable to locate the suspect’s vehicle. the report states. The victim told officers he wanted to prosecute the couple and was advise on the procedures of obtaining a warrant.
_ 941 Spring Creek Rd.: Police responded to Parkridge East hospital Saturday morning in reference to a theft. According to a police report, officers spoke with a female patient there who said that someone had taken $270 in cash from her wallet that she briefly left in a restroom. Officers spoke with hospital staff who said the wallet was found by another patient, returned to them and then forwarded to the victim. The report states that offices spoke with the patient who returned the wallet to staff. She said she never looked in the wallet. The report states that officers viewed security footage showing activity in the restroom during the time the victim’s wallet was inside. The video shows a large-built white man with a full beard exiting the restroom prior to the woman who ultimately turned the wallet into staff. The report states that police believe the white male may be responsible for the theft. Video reveals the suspect showing another man something outside the restroom before returning to his room. The suspect, according to the report, was discharged from the hospital shortly after the incident. The report states that police have identified the suspect from hospital records. The investigation is continuing.
_ 3500 block Shelby Circle: Police responded to the area early Monday morning on a reported “shots fired” call. According to a police report, officers spoke with a man who said he had been watching television when he heard four gunshots from the other side of the circle. As he went to his front door he saw a blue late 1980s model Chevy Camaro drive by the house at a high rate of speed. The man could not provide officers with a license plate number or how many people may have been inside the speeding vehicle. According to the report, police found three .380 caliber shell casings on the side of the circle where the complainant lives. Another resident told police that she thought she heard three gunshots.
