McBrien Road Closure for Utility Project Starts Monday, March 20

East Ridge city officials announced Friday that portions of McBrien Road will be closed for a construction project.

According to a press release, McBrien Road from Ringgold Road to Weaver Street will be closed from Monday, March 20 to Friday, March 24. The road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to all traffic on those days.

Detours around the area will be posted and the road will be open to traffic after 5 p.m. during this time.

Officials said the closing of the road will be necessitated as Tennessee American Water Company will be fixing lines in preparation for a street resurfacing project that is scheduled for this summer.

City officials urge all motorists who may travel the road to allow for delays during this time.
