Thieves Playing 'Grinch' with Mailed Christmas Gifts

On Thursday, several people in the Marlboro Avenue area reported that packages delivered by mail have been stolen from their front porches.

According to posts on social media Websites, thefts were reported to ERPD from Maryland Drive, Marlboro Avenue and Wando Circle of packages being taken from mailboxes and homes.

One woman reported she found three packages on the street on Newport Drive and returned them to the correct addresses.

One woman who lives on Poindexter said on social media that her husband’s bonus check was stolen from their mailbox. The woman said it was the second consecutive year this has occurred.
