East Ridge police arrested a man who was out on bond for Aggravated Domestic Assault after they were called to his address Tuesday morning on an “unknown trouble” complaint.
According to a police report, Randy Boles, 50, of 915 South Seminole Dr., was charged with Domestic Assault and Possession of Marijuana. He was jailed under a $5,000 bond and is due to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on Nov. 15.
The report states that officers were called to the South Seminole Drive apartment at 8:50 a.m. after a person called advising that she had an open phone line with Boles’ phone and heard a woman screaming, “he’s going to kill me.”
The report states that police are familiar with the apartment and “the ongoing domestic issues between Randy Boles and his wife.”
The report states that when officers pulled up they heard a loud verbal altercation coming from apartment No. 49. Police knocked and removed Boles from the apartment. He told officers that he had been arguing with his wife over where his cell phone was located, but denied any physical altercation had happened in the past week.
The report states that officers spoke with the victim, Boles’ wife, inside a bedroom. The woman was breathing heavily and officers saw that she had a bruised right eye. The victim told police that the bruise was sustained a few days ago, she said, when Boles struck her in the face with a rock. The woman showed officers red marks and scratches on her neck where she said that Boles grabbed her on Oct. 30.
The woman told police that in both incidents she feared for her life and she made the statement that he is “Not going to stop until I’m dead,” the report states. The victim told officers that on Halloween she had gotten into a verbal altercation with Boles who repeatedly approached her in a threatening manner with a closed fist acting as if he was going to strike her. The report states that the victim told police that Boles “‘likes’ to strike the facial region and she further stated that she feared for her life during that altercation as well.”
When Boles was placed into custody, the report states, officers located a pill bottle in his pants pocket that contained a small amount of marijuana.
The report states that Boles is currently out on bond for an Aggravated Domestic Assault against his wife, however, a temporary order of protection was lifted on Sept. 27.
