About a dozen law enforcement officers descended on a home in East Ridge Thursday morning to execute a search warrant.
Officers were in and out of the house on the corner of McBrien Road and Connell Street. What they were searching for is unclear at this time.
John G.D. McGarry, Resident Agent in Charge of the Chattanooga office of the Drug Enforcement Administration, said he could not comment about the activities of the officers. He directed inquiries to the United States Attorney’s office.
A spokesperson from the U.S. Attorney’s office said she could not comment on the activities of law enforcement in this instance, citing an “ongoing investigation.”
One neighbor, who did not give his name, said he had warned family members to stay away from the house on the corner. The man said that there were cars in and out of the residence at all hours of the day and night.
