Pioneer Soccer Team Downs Sale Creek

East Ridge’s boys’ soccer team blanked Sale Creek, 6-0, Tuesday in a non-district away game.

Adam Adem scored two goals for the Pioneers (9-2, 7-0 District 6 A/AA). Hunter Schobert, Joel Matias, Rivaldo Yoc Bamaca and Greg Mendez each added a goal for East Ridge.

Schobert, Jaime Aguilar, Rijad Kazic and Jarwin Vasquez were credited with assists.

East Ridge will travel to Sweetwater on Thursday for its final regular-season game of the year.

The Pioneers will host a District 6 A/AA semi-final game at Camp Jordan on Tuesday, May 10 at 7 p.m.. East Ridge will face the winner of the Howard Central match-up in the semis.

He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
