“In conjunction with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office’s S.A.F.E. campaign, the East Ridge Police Department will be offering East Ridge citizens the opportunity to safely experience the force generated during a 5-10 MPH crash in a simulator called the “Convincer.”
This force shows how effective a seat belt can be in keeping a person in their seat and reducing movement. The “Convincer” will be set up at the East Ridge Community Center on Thursday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon.
There is no cost for the experience, but participants will be required to sign a waiver. Minors will be required to have a parent’s signature.”
