Day Shift February 21
25-001872 – 1300 BLK Sewanee Drive – Back EMS – Police stood by while EMS and a subject’s wife attempted to convince him to get transported to the hospital for treatment. The party appeared to be suffering from a potentially life threatening issue. Against the advice from EMS, he stated he would have his wife drive him to the hospital when he was ready.
Night Shift February 21
25-001895 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest – Police observed a silver Nissan SUV idling in the parking lot with two individuals sleeping in it. Police also detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The two occupants were awakened and identified. A probable cause search revealed a stolen Ruger 5.7mm handgun in a bag containing men’s clothes. Police also found that the man had prior felony convictions. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Stolen Property (Theft) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
25-001894 – 700 BLK Belvoir Avenue – Hazardous Road Conditions – Police located a water main break on Belvoir Avenue and found the water had formed ice on a large area of the roadway. Tennessee American Water Company was notified of the issue and will respond to repair the water line. Police closed the roadway from Wade Drive to Fountain Avenue until the issue was resolved. The East Ridge Streets Department supervisor was notified.
25-001891 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Disorder – Police responded to the report of a large group of people loitering in the parking lot with approximately 60 vehicles. The reporting party stated several individuals were drinking, smoking marijuana, and driving recklessly. Police arrived on scene and observed evidence that supported the reporting party’s claims. One of the partygoers claimed they had permission to be on the property. Police cleared the parking lot and verified all intoxicated individuals had a safe ride away from the area. Police will follow up with the business’ management to discuss the situation.
Day Shift February 22
25-001908- 5300 BLK Stone St.- Animal Cruelty – Police responded to East Ridge Animal Services to speak with an animal control officer and take a report of animal abandonment. Officers were advised that a man abandoned his dog and refused to pick him up at the shelter. During the investigation it was determined that the owner had made a false report to ERAS. Warrants are being sought for Animal Cruelty and False reports.
25-001914 – 5300 BLK Bennett – Suspicious Activity – Police were called to the area to investigate a person peering into house windows and cars. Dispatch advised the subject got into a white Nissan Cube. Officers located the vehicle and found that the subject had warrants out of Catoosa County for probation violation. The party was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-001915 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault – A woman reported she was assisting a male in contacting police for a crash report when the other driver involved, an unknown female, snatched her phone out of her hand, threw it on the ground, and then shoved her before taking off. Pending identification of the suspect, a warrant for Assault and Interference with 911 will be sought.
Night Shift February 22
25-001934 – 5400 BLK Clemons Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop with a white sedan occupied by two individuals. During the stop, a female passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to run from the police but was detained after a brief foot pursuit. The female was identified and found to have an arrest warrant through Hamilton County. A female officer attempted to pat down the woman, but she became combative and assaulted two police officers. Police then found she was concealing suspected fentanyl on her person. Officers also located fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both were charged with Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The woman was also charged with Simple Assault on a Police Officer, Evading Arrest, and Resisting Arrest.
25-001932 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – At the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with two Forfeiture Capias warrants through the City of East Ridge. The original charges for the warrants were Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated and Driving under the Influence.
25-001927 – 700 BLK Frawley Rd – Intoxicated Person / Arrest – Police responded to an Intoxicated Person complaint in the parking lot of the apartments. Officers located an adult male slumped over the steering wheel of his running vehicle near Building 5. Police determined the driver was intoxicated and he was taken into custody. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence (Second Offense).
25-001926 – 900 BLK Stateline Road– Disorder – Police responded to a domestic disorder at this residence and found a couple was involved in a heated argument. The officers found no signs of an assault and the individuals agreed to separate for the night.
Day Shift February 23
25-001947- 1600 BLK Springvale Rd- Indecent Exposure – Police responded to the above address regarding a man urinating in the back yard in view of a neighbor. The officer spoke with the males at the residence and advised them to urinate in the privacy of their home.
Night Shift February 23
25-001957 – 600 BLK Maple Lane – Domestic Assault – Police responded to a domestic disorder reported to dispatch through the interpreter line. A woman reported her husband was intoxicated, was breaking things in the home, and she was scared. Officers detained a non-compliant, intoxicated suspect at the front of the house. Police also noted a broken window and broken furniture in the home. Officers eventually located the actual suspect hiding in the backyard. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest.
25-001954 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Vehicle Crash / Assist Other Agency – Police responded to the area for an accident with unknown injuries. There they located a vehicle with flat tires and determined it was not a vehicle crash. The driver requested a tow truck. Police then found that the driver had an active warrant through Rutherford County, and he was taken into custody.
25-001952 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Evading – Police attempted to stop a green, white, and blue sport motorcycle for a registration violation. Upon activation of emergency lights, the motorcycle fled eastbound on Ringgold Road at a high rate of speed and a pursuit was not initiated. A few minutes later, the same motorcycle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on I-75 Southbound. Warrants are pending identification of the rider.
25-001950 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting – A member of the staff reported the theft of merchandise from the store. The employee stated three females entered the store, removed an item from its original box and left with it. The suspects left the area in a midsize passenger vehicle with an Alabama registration. A video for the incident will be made available to police later in the week.
Day Shift February 24
25-001973 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglary / Arrest – Employees stated that a suspect who had stolen $150 from the cash register was still inside the business taking more items from the lost and found. Police located the suspect who admitted stealing the money from the locked drawer. He also had multiple items that were alleged to have been taken by him from lockers and the lost and found. Video footage for the theft from the cash draw was provided further investigation will be conducted to determine if a secondary theft occurred.
25-001977 – 4200 BLK Bennett Rd – Disorder – Police responded to this address when a party was seen in the backyard with a BB gun. He met with police in the front yard. There was a verbal disorder between family members on scene. The subject left to go to work before police left the scene. Later he returned home, and another verbal disorder ensued. A juvenile on scene was threatened by the party, but neither juvenile nor the guardian wished to pursue charges against him for the threats. He once again left the scene to go back to work while police were there.
Night Shift February 24
25-001992 – 200 BLK Eads Street– Aggravated Burglary – A resident reported someone entered her apartment and stole her Play Station 5 while she was showering. Police were provided with videos of the suspect, and another resident identified the suspect. Officers determined the suspect’s real name after an investigation. Warrants for aggravated burglary and theft of property were obtained.
25-002003 – 3800 BLK Northview Ave – Suspicious Person/ Agg Criminal Trespass – The resident reported that he found an unknown male sitting in the driver’s seat of his wife’s vehicle. The caller stated he told the male to leave, and he left on foot towards Wiley Ave. Police searched the area but did not locate anyone.
