Soccer Team Continues Winning Ways

The East Ridge High School soccer team continued its winning ways with a 2-1 edging of CSAS in a Monday non-district away match.

Hunter Schobert and Rivaldo Yoc Bamaca accounted for the scoring goals _ both in the first half _ for the Pioneers. Rijad Kazic was credited with an assist.

The Pioneers outshot CSAS, 15-8, and East Ridge goalkeeper Tony Acuff had five saves.

The win moves East Ridge to 2-1 on the year. Coach Jeremy McIntyre’s team will host Hixson on Thursday in its home opener at Camp Jordan. Game time is 7 p.m.

He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
