Day Shift January 3: Bravo Team
25-000089 – 700 BLK Frawley Road – Auto theft – The RP reported his 2000 GMC Yukon stolen from the listed address sometime between the hours of 0300 to 0400. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. No suspect information is available.
25-000107 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody on two outstanding East Ridge Forfeiture Capias Warrants. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.
Night Shift January 3: Delta Team
24-000114 – 6000 BLK Wentworth Avenue – Residential Fire – Police assisted the East Ridge Fire Department with a small yard fire behind a residence that quickly got out of hand due to windy conditions. No property damage was observed.
25-000123– 5300 BLK Haisten Court – Aggravated Assault – Police responded to the above address for an assault in progress. During the investigation it was determined a man assaulted his girlfriend and stole her cell phone. The suspect was no longer on the scene when police arrived. Warrants for aggravated assault (domestic), theft of property, and false imprisonment were obtained.
24-000124 – 900 BLK S Seminole Drive – Other Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody at Ridge Terrace Apartments for warrants for Rape, Agg Assault, Agg Sodomy, and Agg Child Molestation out of Cobb County, Georgia. He was booked at Hamilton County Jail and is being held for extradition.
Day Shift January 4: Delta Team
25-000142 – 1900 BLK McBrien Rd – Suspicious Letter – The resident reported receiving an explicit letter in her mailbox. The author included his contact details, allowing police to locate him. He was trespassed from the property, which was added to the watchlist.
Night Shift January 4: Delta Team
25-000150-600 BLK Bacon Trail- Shots Fired – A caller reported hearing ten shots in the area. Upon police arrival, officers located a vehicle attempting to leave the area. Police stopped the vehicle, spoke to all occupants, and determined they had no relation to the call. Police continued to check the area and spoke with several residents in the area who stated they believed it was fireworks and not gunfire. Police did not locate evidence of gunfire or fireworks.
25-000153 – 1600 BLK Adair Avenue – Domestic Assault – A man was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-000155-1300 BLK St Thomas St-Suspicious Activity – A resident reported that an unknown suspect had been coming to her house late at night to knock on her doors and windows. Police assured her that they would send extra patrols throughout the night.
Day Shift January 5: Delta Team
25-000160-10 BLK Edwards Terrace – Warrant Service – A man was served two forfeiture capiases for Assault, Public Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-000161-6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Fight, Disorderly Arrest – Police responded to the gas station regarding an individual who had gotten into a physical altercation with another customer. The suspect began to resist Police upon initial contact. He was detained until officers could investigate the incident further. Management stated the man had gotten into a physical altercation with another customer who had left the scene prior to Police arrival. The suspect stated he “lashed out” to get help regarding his mental health. He agreed to be transported for an evaluation. Officers were dispatched to the hospital a short time later for the man creating a disorder in the ER and becoming aggressive with hospital staff. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-000165- 1400 BLK Choate Rd – Theft in Progress – Police were called to this address for a theft in progress. The vehicle, a silver Nissan Armada, left the scene and was spotted making a turn onto McBrien Road. A stop was conducted, and the suspect was in possession of the green pressure washer reported stolen by the complainant. The suspect was Misdemeanor Cited and released.
Night Shift January 5: Delta Team
25-000171 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road –Intoxicated Person – A man was arrested for Public Intoxication when he was observed intoxicated on foot in the roadway.
25-000178-5300 BLK Rose Street-Agg. Domestic Assault – Police responded to investigate an assault case. Officers spoke to a woman who stated that a known man had kicked in her door, dragged her from her bed as she slept, and began to assault her by kneeing her about her face and choking her. She was unaware of the reason he did so. Six days before this incident, she gave birth to a baby whose father is the suspect. She was transported to the hospital for examination of her injuries. The injuries were consistent with the statement from the victim. Warrants are being sought for Domestic Aggravated Assault for injuries sustained in the attack.
Day Shift January 6: Alpha Team
25-000185- 900 BLK Spring Creek Rd- Delayed Assault – Police responded on reports of a delayed assault. Officers spoke with the complainant advised he was assaulted by hospital staff when he was discharged. Police spoke with security and the nurses who advised the man had shown his buttocks to the nurses and threatened to hurt the staff. He was trespassed from this location.
25-000188- 5500 BLK Ringgold Rd- Unconscious Person – Police were dispatched to laundry on reports of a male unconscious in the bathroom. Upon arrival, the property owner opened the door to the restroom. Police spoke with the man who said he was fine. The man was found to be homeless and sleeping in the bathroom. He was trespassed from both laundry facilities in East Ridge.
25-000191-4214 Ringgold Rd- Property – Police responded to the PD to take a report on broken glasses. Officers spoke with a man and found that he was the subject of an earlier call at the hospital. He advised when he was discharged from the hospital the nurses had broken his glasses that were in his bag and damaged his Louis Vuitton backpack.
25-000195- 4214 Ringgold Rd- Warrant Service – Officers met with a man who wanted to check and see if he had warrants from a hit and run 12/30/24. He did have warrants for leaving the scene of an accident, due care, and expired registration. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift January 6: Charlie Team
25-000205 – 1400 BLK N Mack Smith Road – Narcotics Violation – The new property manager of the vacant East Ridge Retirement Center located a small bag of suspected narcotics in the vacated building. Police secured the bag and found it contained methamphetamine. No suspects were found on the property and the illegal drugs were turned into ERPD Property and Evidence for destruction. Officers also observed a significant amount of vandalism in the building.
25-000223 – 1400 BLK N Mack Smith Road – Burglary / Arrest – Police conducted an interior patrol of the former East Ridge Retirement Center at the request of the property manager. Inside the building, police found a man hiding in a closet. Several hand tools were located near him along with pieces of pipe cut out of the walls. He was arrested and charged with Burglary. Police also determined he had an extraditable arrest warrant out of Alabama.
25-000225 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – The party arrested from Mack Smith was served with four Alias Capias arrest warrants from East Ridge while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. The original charges for the Capias warrants were Simple Possession, Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, and Possession of Oxycodone for Resale.
25-000206 – 1000 BLK John Ross Road– Well Being Check – A concerned landlord reported his tenant was not answering phone calls and had not been seen since Friday. Responding officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the tenant’s unlocked vehicle. Police then found the missing person had been transported to a mental health facility following a crisis event. The paraphernalia was collected and turned into the ERPD Property and Evidence for destruction.
25-000214 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.
25-000217 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Recovered Juvenile – Brandi Burton advised a juvenile in her care ran away from home and was possibly in East Ridge. She provided data from the ankle monitoring device and police located the juvenile at a grocery store. The guardian responded to the scene and assumed custody of the juvenile. Police later found the juvenile ran away from home again and assaulted a person in Chattanooga. The juvenile was eventually caught by Chattanooga Police and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
