Day Shift November 15
24-014501/24-014502 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault/Arrest – A mentally disturbed individual entered this business and threatened to bomb the building, further threatening to shoot and kill an employee before leaving. The suspect was identified from an incident earlier in the day. While canvassing the area, he was located at a business where he created a disorder during his arrest and threatened to shoot the arresting officer. He was charged with Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Retaliation for Past Action, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-014500 – 3600 Wimberly Lane – Unconscious Person/Arrest – Police responded to the intersection of Wimberly Lane at Sells Drive on a report of an unconscious driver stopped at the stop sign. ERPD, ERFD, and HCEMS responded to the scene and located a silver Ford Taurus with an unconscious, female Door Dash driver. ERFD administered Narcan to the patient and she regained consciousness. The driver was then transported by HCEMS and medically cleared. She was then taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged for DUI, Driving on Revoked Driver’s License, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The two Door Dash orders left behind were ultimately delivered to the intended customers, courtesy of ERPD.
24-106348 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to the area to locate a juvenile female that jumped out of a car at the East Ridge Avenue stop light. Police located the female at the customer service counter. She told officers she did not like staying at Parkridge Valley and wanted to be transported to another facility. Police transported the female back to Parkridge Valley without incident.
24-014506- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Drug Overdose – Police responded to a parking lot where two individuals called to say they were overdosing after abusing heroin earlier in the day. One stated he was having withdrawals and needed medical attention. His passenger also admitted to using heroin earlier in the day but was not experiencing the same symptoms. EMS arrived and evaluated both parties and transported for treatment.
Night Shift November 15
24-014517 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Stolen Vehicle Recovery / Arrest – Police received an LPR hit for a stolen Ford F-350 bearing a TN registration. Police then observed the vehicle in the 3800 block of Ringgold Rd and confirmed the vehicle as stolen. A felony stop was conducted in the 4100 block of Ringgold Rd. The driver and the passenger were taken into custody and charged with Theft of Property over $10,000, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
24-014524 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A party was served with a Petition to Revoke Capias while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. The original charge for the Capias was Simple Possession of Methamphetamine.
Day Shift November 16
24-0145539 – 1100 BLK McBrien Road– Suspicious Person – Police responded to McBrien Road after the resident heard her adult son singing inside her exterior storage unit. Police found him in the storage unit, and he told police he slept in the storage room overnight. The owner told police he was not invited, nor welcome at her residence and requested he be trespassed from the property. The man gathered his belongings and left without incident.
24-014548 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop for expired registration. The driver was found to be driving on an indefinitely suspended license. The party also had a warrant out of sessions for driving on revoked. He was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Night Shift November 16
24-014555 – 6200 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person / Arrest – Police responded to reports of an unconscious person in the drive-through line. Upon arrival, police found a man passed out in the front seat of his truck parked next to the lane. During a consent search, police found methamphetamine in his pocket and his vehicle. The suspect was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
24-014563 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police observed a vehicle failing to maintain lane and initiated a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, the driver was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence.
24-014570 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police observed a black Subaru driving on the wrong side of the road and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Underage Consumption, and Driving While Unlicensed.
Day Shift November 17
24-014581 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Improperly Parked Auto – Police were called to Spring Creek Plaza because a Toyota Carolla was partially blocking the exit driveway. Police determined the vehicle belonged to an individual who was taken into custody for DUI the previous night. The property owner arranged for a tow prior to police arrival. The tow company arrived minutes afterwards to initiate the removal of the vehicle.
Night Shift November 17
24-014599 – 700 BLK South Germantown Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police observed a red sedan, with illegal window tint, traveling north on S. Germantown Road. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver consented to a search of the vehicle. The search yielded a small amount of marijuana and one Xanax pill. Charges are pending further investigation.
24-014605 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Ringgold Rd and John Ross Rd. While speaking with the driver, police observed a strong odor of an intoxicating beverage on his breath. Following a roadside investigation, he was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence (3rd offense) and Driving on a Revoked License for DUI.
24-014608 – 3100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police observed a gold sedan driving with no tag lights and conducted a traffic stop. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded 24 grams of marijuana, oxycodone, clonazepam, suboxone, and other diverted prescription drugs. Charges are pending further investigation.
24-014612 – I-75 Northbound – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police observed a black Dodge Avenger exceeding the speed limit and conducted a traffic stop. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of marijuana and a Glock 10mm handgun. The driver was given a misdemeanor citation and released from the scene.
Day Shift November 18
24-014623 – 5300 BLK Greenbriar Road – Disorder – Police were informed of a possible burglary in progress. Officers detained the two parties and spoke with the reporting party. He stated that his ex-girlfriend was not the one trying to enter the home, but the friend was. The reporting party did not want to press charges on any of the suspects. He did want to inform the parties to not visit the residence without him being present.
Night Shift November 18
24-014636 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Hit & Run, DUI Arrest – A man was arrested for DUI, Leaving the Scene, and Resisting Arrest after he fled the scene of a crash after he side swiped a car in the 5500 block of Ringgold Road and continued driving to a fast food restaurant. Police located him at the drive through window and forcibly removed him from his automobile when he attempted to flee police detention.
24-014646- 4400 BLK Bennett Road – Theft – The caller stated he was inside this residence working before he came out to find his corrugated pipe valued at $128 was taken from behind his vehicle. There is no suspect information.
24-014648 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Knox County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a man on an outstanding Forfeiture Capias warrant for Possession of Fentanyl. A hold request and a copy of the warrant were faxed to KCSO to keep him in custody until the ERPD Warrants Division can transport him to Hamilton County.
24-014653 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Other Warrant – A man was taken into custody on a county warrant for Reckless Endangerment after being found asleep in his work van in the gas station parking lot. His .45 caliber pistol was taken to East Ridge Police Department for safe keeping.
24-014656 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road – Unknown 911 / Fight – Police were dispatched to an unknown 911 at the above address. The caller called back and stated two men were fighting. Upon arrival, police located a male and a female outside the residence. The male was bleeding from his nose but declined EMS treatment. The man stated he got into a fight with a friend but did not wish to make a report. He was informed he could call back later if he decided to file a complaint against the suspect.
