Day Shift October 15
24-013219 – 1300 BLK Laredo Avenue– Suspicious Activity – A juvenile stated he received death threats on a social media platform from a person he does not know, nor knows him or where he lives. The juvenile’s mother insisted this is not an issue for law enforcement but rather “part of social media.” It was recommended to the juvenile to delete the app.
24-012353 – 1100 BLK Pineville Road – Warrant Service – An officer with the Chattanooga Police Department contacted a wanted party (East Ridge Police, Aggravated Assault). The East Ridge Police Department took him into custody and transported him to jail.
Night Shift October 15
24-013245 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a black Subaru Forester swerving on Ringgold Road and activated lights and sirens to stop the vehicle. The Subaru responded by increasing its speed and driving through a red light. A passenger was also observed throwing two beer bottles out of the vehicle. Police followed the vehicle through the Bachman Tunnels, and the suspect stopped in the 2500 block of Westside Drive. The driver was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Evading Arrest, and several traffic violations. The passenger was charged with Tampering with Evidence. CPD assisted with traffic control and detaining the vehicle occupants.
24-013228 – 1400 BLK Sewanee Drive – Theft – A woman reported a delivery box was stolen off her porch. An unknown individual left a note stating “At 2:55 pm, a maroon Nissan stole a package off the porch.” There was no other suspect information provided for the incident.
24-013241 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue– Burglary – The victim reported a burglary at his apartment. He stated he left his door unlocked while he went to work from 1200 to 2300 hours. When he returned home, he found his door was open and his 55-inch TV was no longer in the apartment. No suspects have been identified for the incident.
24-013237 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to a disorder and located a man outside the business. He admitted to a verbal argument with the store staff concerning the sale of cigarettes. The staff requested he be trespassed from the property. The party agreed to leave the area.
