On Friday, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office detective charged Brittni Harmon Moore, 27, with First Degree Murder in the killing of her sister.
According to a HCSO press release, the incident happened Thursday evening on Thrush Hollow Lane in East Brainerd.
According to an arrest report, Moore called 911 from a grocery store in Chattanooga, saying she killed someone at a home on Thrush Hollow Lane.
Deputies responded to the home where they found the victim of the body, Brianna Harmon. She had been shot in the back of the head.
The report states that the suspect told deputies that she called a Lyft driver to take her to a Publix. She is seen on security camera entering the store before calling 911.
The report states that Moore gave details of her day to detectives up until the last time she saw her sister. Moore claims she last saw her sister when the two were asleep on the couch and the victim awoke to take a phone call.
Detectives watched Ring camera footage which showed only the suspect going in and out of the home during the time the victim was killed.
The report states that detectives found a gun in the car that Moore was seen walking to on the camera.
Moore is being held without bond at the Hamilton County Jail. She is due to appear in court on October 21.
