Day Shift October 3
24-012678 – 700 BLK S. Seminole Drive – Property-Found – Unknown person advised that she found a Hamilton County School District Laptop in her front yard and left it by the mailbox for police to pick-up. The laptop was turned over to the SRO.
24-012683 – 900 BLK S. Seminole Drive– Theft from Motor Vehicle – The victim reported during the night of October 2-3, person(s) unknown stole a black Nike backpack containing a Hamilton County School District Laptop from the interior of their car. The laptop in case #24-012878 was the same reported stolen here.
24-012692 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road– Domestic Disorder – Police were dispatched for a male banging on a car while in possession of a brick. Officers arrived and located him banging on the apartment door. He was arrested on charges of Domestic Assault, Criminal Impersonation, and Attempted Aggravated Burglary.
24-012697 – 700 BLK Marlboro Avenue – Miscellaneous Complaint – A party wanted to file a miscellaneous report for juveniles walking around her porch and ringing her Ring Doorbell camera at 6:15 a.m. while waiting for the bus. She alleged that this is ongoing almost every morning while they are waiting for the bus to pick them up. She requested officer presence at the corner of Marlboro and Fountain Avenue in the mornings form 6-6:30 when the bus picks them up.
24-012699 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Property – A man walked into The East Ridge Police Department and wanted to turn in an Apple iPhone that his grandchildren picked up from the East Ridge Park. The phone did not have an emergency contact. The phone was undamaged and placed into property.
Night Shift October 3
24-012717 – 900 BLK Donaldson Road – Suspicious Person – Police were dispatched to a suspicious person. According to the complainant, a male wearing all black was walking around the apartments, yelling and throwing things. The suspect also was throwing himself on the ground between rants. Police searched the area and were not able to locate this party.
24-012707 – 300 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Auto Burglary – Police responded to an interpreter call that turned into an Auto Burglary call. While speaking with the RP’s mother, a video was shown of two individuals getting out of a vehicle at the entrance and getting into the RP’s mother’s vehicle along with other resident’s cars. The RP was not at the scene during the time and never met with police to file a report.
24-012722 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Police interdicted a bicyclist riding without a light after dark while patrolling the 5500 block of Ringgold Road. The juvenile told police he was hungry so he decided to ride his bicycle to fast food restaurant after he couldn’t find anything to eat at his grandmother’s house. Police performed a field interview and advised the juvenile to equip his bicycle with a light for night riding.
24-012721 – 1200 BLK W End Avenue – Traffic stop/ arrest – Police were notified that there was a White Nissan that was driving recklessly in the 5500 block of Ringgold Rd. Officers initiated a traffic stop after observing the vehicle driving in the turn lane with hazards on. The driver was identified and was observed to be intoxicated. He was arrested for reckless driving and DUI.
24-012726 – 1300 BLK San His Drive – Unknown Trouble – Police responded to unknown trouble and upon arrival observed a broken window. A woman with blood on her shirt answered the door. A search of the house was conducted, and several adults were found inside. One of the parties found inside had blood on his arm. It was determined that two male parties inside the residence argued and broke a window. All parties agreed to no longer drink for the night and to keep the peace.
