Day Shift September 20
24-012064 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road- DUI – An employee stated she observed a gray sedan driving erratically and in the wrong lane several times and at a high rate of speed. The driver was described as a shirtless male, with long hair, tattoos and shouting nonsensical words. The vehicle turned south onto Springvale Road. While checking the area police observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway. The driver stated the vehicle passed her as she was negotiating a left turn and struck her. She stated the operator was a shirtless male who was shouting nonsensical words, and his eyes looked “wild.” Minutes later, ERPD was notified Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office was out with a similar vehicle, a gray Dodge Charger, across the state line in Georgia. Officers responded and confirmed it was the same vehicle as described. The driver was already in custody and in the back of a patrol vehicle. CCSO deputies stated the man struck several vehicles in the trailer park off Bible Rd, struck a trailer, entered the trailer and began ransacking the interior to the horror of the occupants. He was sweating profusely and speaking erratically. The party was taken into custody by CCSO for numerous felony offenses. ERPD will seek warrants for DUI and leaving the scene of a crash.
24-012054 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Vehicle Theft – A party reported to police his 2007 Black Chevy Suburban was stolen from the apartment complex sometime between Monday morning and Friday morning. The vehicle has been entered into NCIC.
24-012977 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police arrived to find a man and his dog urban camping on the side of the building. He was told, per the landlord, to gather his belongings and leave the property. He was compliant and quickly gathered his belongs and left the property.
24-012063 – Spring Creek Road – LPR Investigation – A License Plate Reader (LPR) hit on a white Honda Pilot associated with shoplifting and was stopped on Spring Creek Road. The operator was questioned concerning the thefts and identified two of the individuals in the surveillance footage. She was directed to contact CID.
24-012071 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – The reporting party had dropped his check off at the USPS drop box and, prior to it being delivered, the check was stolen and altered to show the payee as “Ka’Lynn Dotson.” It was deposited into a bank account. A warrant for Theft of Property will be sought pending identification of the suspect.
24-012086 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Search Warrant – Patrol assisted CID execute a search warrant on a theft suspect’s residence.
Night Shift September 20
24-012100 – 4300 BLK Bennett Road – Disorder – Patrol Officers responded three times to assist off duty officers working security at the East Ridge High School football game. Multiple fights and disorders occurred throughout the course of the game between East Ridge and East Hamilton. In each instance, the involved individuals were high school age students.
24-012114- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop with a white Ford Fusion near the I-75 NB on ramp. During the stop, a man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (Narcotics), Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The passenger was arrested for Possession of Fentanyl and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-012115 – 4000 BLK Bennett Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to the report of one loud gunshot heard near Greenslake Road and Bennett Road. Police checked the area and spoke with several residents, but the source of the noise was not located.
24-012107 – 900 BLK S Seminole Drive – Shots Fired – Police responded to multiple reports of shots fired near South Seminole Drive. Police checked the area but did not locate a victim, damage, or spent casings.
24-012097- 1400 BLK Millbro Circle – Disorder / Arrest – Police responded to a disorder at this residence and observed a woman yelling at a man outside their home. Officers also observed several neighbors standing outside their homes watching the commotion. No signs of an assault were found. Police arrested the woman for Disorderly Conduct, and she was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-012090 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd – Vehicle Accident / DUI – Following a crash investigation, a woman was taken into custody for Driving under the Influence. On the way to the jail, she had a medical emergency, and she was transported by EMS. Police will seek an arrest warrant for DUI and a search warrant for the blood at the hospital.
24-012088 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Theft – Loss Prevention reported a male stole a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses totaling $304.81. The suspect left the scene in a Red Toyota with GA tags; the exact registration could not be determined. The identity of the suspect was unknown, and the store provided video footage of the incident.
24-012089 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Theft – Loss Prevention reported male stole a knife worth $76.46. The suspect left the scene in a red sedan with TN tags; the exact registration could not be determined. The identity of the suspect was unknown, but they provided video footage of the incident.
24-012095 – 700 BLK Germantown Circle – Vandalism – The resident reported the side window of her 2004 Kia was smashed out sometime between the hours of 1200 and 1915. There was no suspect information, and nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
25-012105 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Property Damage – Police observed a white Nissan Sentra driving with a gasoline pump nozzle and hose attached to it. Officers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver. Police determined that he forgot to remove the gas pump nozzle after pumping gas. The party provided his personal and insurance information for the incident.
Day Shift September 21
24-012125 – 3500 BLK Cathy Lane – Loose Dogs – A neighbor called to report approximately five puppies were running loose in the street. Police spoke to the reporting party who said she would call Animal Control on Monday to request the dogs be “trespassed” from her property. All puppies were returned to the back yard waiting for their owners return.
Night Shift September 21
24-012169 – 5300 BLK Connell Street – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest – Police responded to the report of a black SUV parked in the roadway with an unconscious driver. Officers located the vehicle and found the driver wreaked of an alcoholic beverage. Police turned off the vehicle and removed a handgun from the passenger seat, before waking up the driver. Police then instructed the driver to exit the vehicle. He refused to follow commands and attempted to put his vehicle in drive several times. The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. The driver was then identified and found to be a convicted felon. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Violation of an Order of Protection, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm while Under the Influence.
24-012161- 6510 Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest – Police located a white Ford Fusion that crashed into a pole at the hotel. The driver of the vehicle initially appeared to be unconscious. He regained consciousness and was found to be highly intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Revoked (DUI), and Violation of Open Container Law.
24-012171- 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person / Arrest – Police responded to the report of an unconscious person in a vehicle at the restaurant. Officers located him sleeping in his vehicle and quickly determined he was intoxicated on alcoholic beverages. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Suspended, and Violation of Open Container Law.
24-012147- 4150 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Loss Prevention reported an unknown female entered the store on 09/20/24 and took 19 cans of Enfamil baby formula valued at $432.60. The female left the store without paying and was seen leaving the parking lot in a late model red SUV. Photos and video of the female were provided.
24-012158 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Evading Arrest – Police attempted to stop a black Volkswagen Passat after it was observed with illegal window tint. The vehicle accelerated and drove in a reckless manner to evade police. Police did not pursue the vehicle and terminated the traffic stop. Another Police Officer then observed the vehicle on McBrien Road and attempted to stop the vehicle. The Volkswagen accelerated again and drove in a reckless manner to evade police. The vehicle turned eastbound on North Terrace and police did not pursue it. A BOLO was sent to surrounding agencies. The registered owner of the vehicle was identified. CPD went to two known addresses, but he nor the vehicle were located. Warrants are pending for the identification of the driver.
Day Shift September 22
24-012175 – 5300 BLK Clemons Road– Assist Citizen – Police responded to help the resident load her deceased canine into her vehicle.
24-012179 – 1400 BLK S Moore Road – Animal Call – Officers responded to assist a citizen in removing a snake from her driveway. Police located a rather large, deceased serpent and identified it as a Ball Python. Officers assisted the homeowner with disposing of the snake.
Night Shift September 22
24-012203 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Offense / Arrest – An anonymous caller stated that approximately six people were smoking Methamphetamine in a room at the motel. As Police arrived, multiple individuals were observed standing in and outside the room. Following a consensual encounter, consent was granted to search a vehicle and the room. A man was ultimately taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Simple Possession of Marijuana. He was also found to have a warrant for Theft through Sessions Court.
24-012199 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder / Arrest – Management reported an intoxicated customer was refusing to leave. Police located the individual and identified him. Officers advised the individual that he was no longer welcome at the restaurant and needed to call a ride. He refused to leave and continued to create a disturbance. Following a brief struggle, he was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, and Resisting Arrest.
Day Shift September 23
24-012219 – 950 Spring Creek Road – Traffic Stop – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired temporary registration. Following the encounter, a man was taken into custody for unlawful possession of firearm, possession of marijuana for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearm during a dangerous felony.
24-012229-6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Suspicious Person – Police were called to the to check on a male party who was seen standing near the side of the building. He advised officers he was waiting on a ride and would be moving along shortly.
Night Shift September 23
24-012235 – 4000 BLK Wiley Avenue – Domestic Arrest – Police responded to a fight call on Wiley Avenue between family members. According to witnesses and victim statements, a woman was in an argument with her mother, and a fight broke out. When her brother arrived and went to talk with her about the altercation, they engaged in a physical altercation, with strikes being thrown at the brother. The female was able to break away from her brother and ran downstairs of the residence and began fighting her mother for a second time. The spouse of the mother heard the disturbance and went to separate both parties but was struck multiple times in the head during the scuffle. The female suspect was taken into custody and charged with three counts of Domestic Assault
24-012248 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Aggravated Robbery – The victim reported he was robbed by an unidentified male while he was visiting with a resident. On-call CID was notified of the incident. Warrants for aggravated robbery will be sought pending the identification of the suspect.
24-012253 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Units were notified by a deputy at HCSO that they had a man in custody and needed to verify a warrant. A warrant for Domestic Assault was verified and sent to the jail.
