Day Shift September 6
24-011435- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Police responded to a disorder complaint where a party was located. The subject was taken into custody after dispatch confirmed he had active felony warrants out of Walker County, GA and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-011432 – 3100 BLK Bimini Place – Violation of Conditions of Release – Police responded to speak with the reporting party who advised her child’s father came to her apartment on Tuesday and stole approximately $3, 500 in cash and $374 from her SNAP account. She advised she has an active condition of release against the man, which was verified by dispatch through the jail. Warrants will be sought for for Theft Over $1000 and Violation of Order of Protection.
Night Shift September 6
24-011452 – 5300 BLK State Line Road – Public Intoxication / Arrest – Police located the subject from the Rose Street disorder call walking on the roadside near 5300 State Line Road. He was heavily intoxicated and was taken into custody. The man was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with Public Intoxication.
24-011464- 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue- Domestic Disorder / Arrest – Police received two separate reports of people fighting inside an apartment. At the location, officers observed incoherent screaming from within. After repeated knocking on the door, officers met with the occupants. Police determined the argument was verbal in nature; however, the man began yelling at the Police and created a disorder outside the apartment. He was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
24-011465 – 4300 BLK S Terrace – Suspicious Vehicle / Assist Other Agency – Police observed a white sedan traveling the wrong way on S Terrace in Chattanooga. Officers found a vehicle matching the description parked outside of an empty home in East Ridge and located two adults in the backseat of the vehicle. One was found to have an active arrest warrant through Bradley County and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Both stated a nameless friend was driving the vehicle and he fled on foot after parking the vehicle. Report on file.
Day Shift September 7
24-011472 – 1400 BLK N Smith Street – Suspicious Activity/Arrests – Police were in reference to suspicious activity. The caller reported seeing four males near the lobby with firearms stating they were “fixin’ to square off”. Officers located a vehicle on the back lot occupied by subjects matching the description given by the caller. When police asked the occupants to exit the car, they became resistant and attempted to roll up windows. The subjects were removed from the vehicle and two loaded handguns were located within their reach. Marijuana was also located. The parties were identified, and one was attempting to reach for one of the firearms at the time he was removed. A subject in the car had multiple violent felony charges pending in Hamilton County. They were transported to the jail on narcotics and gun possession charges. While investigating the event, a Nissan Altima left the lot at a high rate of speed. It was located on Spring Creek Road moments later on Spring Creek Rd. Officers contacted two additional subjects. One was observed to have a handgun in his waist band. He was detained and the gun removed. Both claimed no knowledge of the other parties, but officers had observed them on video leaving a room at the hotel together. No probable cause for one subject’s arrest was established at the time of the incident. The other was taken into custody on firearms charges. The vehicle owner refused consent to search the Nissan, so it was towed to the East Ridge Police Department pending a warrant search. He had $2,050 in US currency on his person at the time of the arrest. Currency was observed in the vehicle at the time it was secured. The room at the hotel was secured and held pending a warrant search.
24-011468 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person / Public Intoxication – Police observed a male walking westbound in the eastbound travel lane of the 6600 Block of Ringgold Road. He was taken into custody for obstructing a roadway and public intoxication.
24-011467 – 200 BLK Tunnel Boulevard – Disorder – An East Ridge officer was enroute to Ridgeside patrol when she happened onto a heated disorder between two individuals. Chattanooga Police were enroute to the same area as for potential theft in progress. A man was detained and placed in an ERPD vehicle. He began banging his head on the inside of the patrol vehicle and was told to stop but would not. CPD refused to take any action. Due to his level of intoxication and the refusal of CPD to act, Hamilton County was called and responded to take him into custody for public intoxication.
24-011470 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man asked police to escort him to his ex-wife’s house in compliance with a Protection Order. He was found to have an active warrant out of East Ridge for Violation of Protection Order and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift September 7
24-011490 – 3400 BLK Maple Creek Lane– Lost Property – The caller reported his Ruger LCP MAX 380 handgun was lost. He stated he mistakenly left the handgun on the hood of his car when he drove from East Ridge to the Hamilton Place Mall. Officers assisted him and checked the roadways, but the firearm was not located. The handgun was reported missing in NCIC.
24-011500 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – A man reported three females stole his maroon Chevrolet Camaro and $750 in cash while he was staying at the motel. Officers found he was highly intoxicated and provided inconsistent details for the incident. He did not have the registration or VIN information for his Camaro, so the vehicle was not entered into NCIC. CPD was notified and checked several potential locations for the vehicle, but it was not located. An initial report will be on file pending further investigation.
Day Shift September 8
24-011512 – 1300 BLK Greens Lake Road – Deceptive Practice – A party called the police after she thought her Food Stamp card was fraudulently used in East Ridge. The transaction history showed the card was used at a store in Memphis, TN. Due to her residing in Chattanooga, she was advised to report the theft with CPD and bring a copy of the report to the Food Stamp office in accordance with their fraud claim process.
24-011501 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Public Intoxication – Police responded to 3300 Ringgold Rd in reference to two intoxicated males. The pair were observed walking side by side in the roadway with traffic at their back, despite the availability of a sidewalk. The parties had already been warned earlier to stay inside due to their level of intoxication. Both were arrested and charged with public intoxication.
Night Shift September 8
24-011524 – 1500 BLK Karwill Lane– Suspicious Activity – A prolific caller contacted the non-emergency line to report a disorder with one of her neighbors outside their apartment building. Police responded to the area and spoke with her. No evidence of a disorder was found.
24-011519 – 350 Ringgold Road – Auto Theft – A woman reported her 2015 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from this address on September 7th. The suspect was a homeless male that she only knew by the street names of “Black” or “Kuwait.” The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
