Day Shift August 23
24-010857- 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd- Disorder – Police responded to a disorder complaint. Two parties arrived to receive cash winnings from this business but were initially not permitted to by the management. Management ultimately agreed to provide one with a cash winning of $200 to ease tensions for the time being and conduct an in-house investigation as to where the money should have been taken from. Both were trespassed from this location and notified prior to departure.
24-010839 – 5300 BLK Dupont – Suspicious Persons – Police were called to the area around Dupont and McBrien. A caller stated two men with a dog were looking into cars. Officers observed the two men walking near the roadway in the grass to avoid traffic. The men lived off Dupont and were out walking their dog.
24-010859 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Abandoned Auto – The business requested a private party tow after a Buick Lesabre was left on their property. It was later discovered the car had been reported as stolen. Police relocated to the towing address to confirm the vehicle was there before removing it from NCIC.
240-10861 – 5400 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Home Invasion – Police responded to this residence after the mother of a juvenile at the home reported subjects unknown attempted to enter the residence while the child was home alone. On scene, officers spoke with the child, who advised they heard some yelling at the front before hearing a loud noise at the door. The juvenile stated they found the front door open and called their parents, who called the police. No suspect information currently.
Night Shift August 23
24-010884 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Offense – A stop was conducted on a bicycle with no lights. Police located a glass pipe and a small amount of Methamphetamine on the suspect’s person. The man was sent on his way, through the tunnels into Chattanooga, and the items were taken for destruction.
24-010872 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road– DUI/Arrest – Police responded to an intoxicated person who was driving recklessly in the area. Upon arrival, police observed a man in the driver’s seat of the described vehicle and conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. He was unable to complete them due to his intoxication level. The party was arrested for DUI, Open Container, and Driving on Revoked for DUI.
24-010876 – 1600 BLK Keeble Street – Narcotics Offense – While conducting a Warrant Service, the man was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine after police discovered approximately 1 gram of Methamphetamine wrapped in a gray plastic baggy on his person.
Day Shift August 24
24-010890 – 1000 BLK S. Seminole Drive – Crash – Police responded to an injury crash and located a black sedan that had struck a utility pole. The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
24-010896 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – Police responded to a crash with injuries. Prior to officers arriving, the vehicle that caused the crash left the scene. While enroute to the crash police located the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Ringgold Road. The vehicle attempted to flee but was caught in traffic. The driver was taken into custody for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, driving without a license, evading and speeding.
Night Shift August 24
24-010919 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-010922- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Assist Other Agency – Police observed a suspicious person walking on Ringgold Road and contacted him. The individual was identified and was found to have an extraditable arrest warrant through Catoosa County. The party was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-010914 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, the driver of a Nissan Maxima was taken into custody after he was unable to provide identification and could not remember his date of birth. The “John Doe” was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with several traffic related violations.
24-010918- 9700 BLK Lee Highway- Assist Other Agency- A female East Ridge Officer responded to a support request on Lee Highway. The Collegedale Police Department required assistance in searching several females during a traffic stop. One individual was arrested.
Day Shift August 25
24-010924 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Unknown Trouble – ERPD responded on report of a shirtless man who stated his house was being invaded by five people. Police encountered the subject shirtless and sweating profusely. The man was armed with a handgun which was subsequently secured. He stated there were several people, whom he did not know and could not describe, who were chasing him who were also armed. He had left his family in their trailer and ran to East Ridge. Officers relocated him to his residence on National Boulevard inside Georgia. East Ridge Police requested Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office respond. It was determined he may have been experiencing a mental health crisis caused by narcotics use.
24-010926 – Altahama Street & Sunnydell Lane – Shots Fired – A caller reported hearing two gunshots but did not see any person or vehicles at the time. Police canvassed the area but did not observe any signs of anyone in distress or property damage.
24-010927 – 5000 BLK S Terrace – Trespass – A man was trespassed from this address after he was located sleeping on the sidewalk in the early morning hours.
24-010937—S Germantown Rd/Ringgold Rd—Auto Broken Down – A passerby requested police provide assistance with traffic control for a broken-down vehicle as she attempted to help start it. Officers aided with getting the vehicle out of the roadway.
24-010938 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Arrest – Motel staff called to report a man was refusing to leave the property after checkout time. Officers contacted the party who was found to have warrants through Hamilton County for Domestic Assault and Kidnapping. As officers attempted to take him into custody, he became combative and refused to comply. He is being charged for Resisting Arrest by ERPD.
24-010943 – 1400 BLK St Thomas Street – Assault – Police were summoned to a report of a female chasing a male around a vehicle and physically assaulting him. When officers arrived, they located a female matching the description of the suspect. The female was uncooperative with police and denied any assault had occurred. The female, after initially giving false identification information, was taken into custody for criminal impersonation resisting arrest along with a verified warrant in East Ridge. Video surveillance confirmed the assault and a warrant for domestic assault is pending identification of her significant other.
24-010944 – 1400 BLK St Thomas Street – Arrest – While police were investigating the previously mentioned assault, a patron of the motel became belligerent and began screaming obscenities at officers. The male subject was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. It should be noted he was the initial caller on the assault but chose to taunt police throughout the investigation. He had a lengthy history of assaultive behavior towards law enforcement.
Night Shift August 25
24-010960 – 6200 Ringgold Road- Aggravated Assault – Police responded to a disorder with a weapon. Officers found that the suspect had brandished a knife while yelling and walking toward an employee. The employee did not know the man and felt threatened by his actions. He was arrested, transported to the Hamilton County Jail, and charged with Aggravated Assault.
24-010953- 5000 BLK Newport Drive – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to a shots fired call at this residence and located the owner of the home. He stated a visiting juvenile was with him in the backyard shooting fireworks. Police explained the city ordinance for fireworks and departed the scene.
Night Shift August 26
24-010997 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle/Unconscious – A woman was found unconscious in her car with a straw, lighter, and burnt foil. Police discovered 0.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, straws with residue, and a meth pipe. She was taken to Hamilton County Jail.
24-011000 – 4000 BLK Wiley Avenue – Traffic Arrest – During a traffic stop, drug paraphernalia was found. The driver and passenger were cited for Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
24-011003 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder Arrest – A party was arrested at the hotel for Public Intoxication, Possession of Schedule II narcotics, and Possession of a Handgun While Intoxicated after disturbing a guest.
