Day Shift July 12
24-008903 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity/Property Damage – A driver of a vehicle claimed while he was traveling eastbound, a rock, the size of a fist came from an unknown location and direction and struck the driver’s side windshield of his mother’s 2022 Kia Soul. Upon impact, the rock somehow penetrated the windshield with just enough force to strike him in his chest without leaving a mark.
24-008893 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Road – Public Intoxication – Police spoke with the RP who stated she had an employee who was intoxicated and wanted to drive home. The woman was observed by officers to be heavily intoxicated. Police placed her in custody for public intoxication.
24-008897 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Deceptive Practice – The caller informed police of fraudulent checks that were cashed out at his business. Two individuals, one male and one female, are seen entering the business and cashing out the checks for a total of 1956.30 dollars. Police have information about the two individuals but have not positively identified them.
Night Shift July 12
24-008926 – 800 BLK S Germantown Road – Traffic Stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for Theft of Property, Tampering with Evidence, and Simple Possession of Marijuana. He was found in possession of a stolen Glock 43 and had concealed marijuana on his person.
24-008909 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – An employee of the business was issued a Misdemeanor Citation for Theft of Property after he was caught taking $100 from his cash drawer. During the investigation, Police found two additional thefts that were committed by the same suspect in the past two months. The investigating officer will be seeking arrest warrants for the previous incidents.
24-008929 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Assist Other Agency – The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office notified ERPD of an active felony warrant for a security guard at the inn. Police located him at work and took him into custody without incident.
24-008930 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Rd – DUI / Arrest – Police observed a white Volkswagen fail to maintain its lane several times. Police initiated a traffic stop and found the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He refused to comply with Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. The man was charged with DUI and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-008932 — 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI / Arrest – Police observed a white Dodge Journey driving on Ringgold Road with the right front tire missing and the wheel rim exposed. Officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver was intoxicated. The party was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
24-008936 – 6100 BLK N Mack Smith Road – Assist Fire – After multiple complaints, police located a small manmade fire that was creating a large amount of smoke in a wooded area. The fire contained several copper wires and police found no one near it. East Ridge Fire and Rescue responded to the location and extinguished the fire.
