One person was treated for smoke inhalation after fire damaged a duplex on Cecil Lane, early Tuesday morning.
According to a press release from the East Ridge Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to 183 Cecil Lane just after 1 a.m. When first responders arrived, it was determined that all occupants had gotten out of the duplex.
Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack on the second floor of the dwelling and extinguished the fire, officials said. One person was treated at the scene by Hamilton County EMS for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
Mutual Aid was requested from Chattanooga and Catoosa County to cover our city for any other calls during the fire.
