Day Shift April 11
24-004578 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Passing Worthless Checks – The owner of a house-cleaning business advised she was mailed a cashier’s check for $2,550 from an unknown subject in exchange for her cleaning a house located on Liberty Street. The subject obtained her phone number and address using her Google Business Profile. $400 was for her services, and the remaining money was sent to various Venmo accounts per the suspect’s instructions. The check was found to be counterfeit. A warrant for Passing Worthless Checks will be sought pending identification of the suspect.
24-004559 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Check Wellbeing/Arrest – Police responded to the area after a concerned citizen reported observing a male with gray hair attempting to step into the roadway. On arrival, police located the party who was exhibiting signs of intoxication. He admitted to consuming a pint of liquor earlier in the morning and was subsequently taken into custody and transported to jail.
No Number – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – LPR Hit – Police responded to the area after receiving an license plate reader notification for a hit out of Knoxville for a stolen plate. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot and with the assistance of store loss prevention located the occupants of the vehicle. They were found to be the owners. It was later discovered that the plate was reported stolen and, when the owners attempted to obtain a new plate, the DMV re-issued them the same tag number.
Night Shift April 11
24-004591 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft of Property – Residents reported an unknown suspect removed a new Samsung S25 phone from their FEDEX delivery box. The couple ordered the phone through the Internet, and the phone may have been removed in transit to their residence.
24-004596 – 4400 BLK Vester Lane – Aggravated Burglary – A man and woman were arrested for Aggravated Burglary after the homeowner observed a party looking around the residence with a flashlight. The pair were found in possession of items removed from inside the residence. They were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
