Day Shift April 5
24-004259 – Sherwood Drive @ Spring Creek Road – Hit & Run/Arrest – Officers were dispatched to a hit and run crash where a gray Dodge Charger left the scene. Later in the shift, Police were notified Chattanooga Police were out with the suspect vehicle and the driver on Brainerd Road. Officers responded to the scene and determined it was indeed the vehicle and the driver. Chattanooga arrested the driver for DUI and other offences. East Ridge placed charges of leaving the scene of an accident, driving on suspended, and financial responsibility on the driver.
24-004266 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – A man and woman were observed on video surveillance stealing $182.54 worth of groceries. A theft of property warrant is being sought for both individuals.
24-004290 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Police were called regarding a male stealing $29.97 worth of diapers. The male was wearing denim pants, a white shirt, and a denim jacket at the time of the theft. A warrant will be sought pending identification.
24-004283- 3700 BLK Olmstead Drive- AOA- Officers assisted US Marshalls and Hamilton County Sheriff Office deputies with the apprehension of a party who had warrants through Hamilton County.
24-004272 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Theft/Drug Charges – Police were informed a theft suspect from 04/02/24 was back on site. Officers located the suspect and positively identified him. He had also been seen hiding merchandise on his person on this date. Police located the merchandise and two foil balls which appeared to contain methamphetamine on is person. He was taken into custody and charged with both theft and possession of methamphetamine.
Night Shift April 5
24-004300 – 1600 BLK Keeble Street — Reckless Endangerment / Vandalism – The caller reported a gray car drove by the residence and shot at him while he was sitting in his vehicle. His vehicle sustained damage consistent with pellets shot from a BB gun. A juvenile female at the home identified the suspect and stated the incident was retaliation against her. Arrest warrants will be sought.
Day Shift April 6
24-004311 – 100 BLK Dorroh Lane – Stolen Vehicle Recovery – While attempting an arrest warrant service at this address, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle; a black Audi with a tarp laying on the ground next to it, backed into a parking space, displaying no registration. A check of the vehicle’s VIN revealed it was stolen out of Chattanooga in January. The vehicle was recovered and towed.
24-004304 – 1300 BLK Sewanee Drive – Warrant Service – A man was served with an East Ridge warrant for aggravated assault at his home address. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-003341- 8500 BLK Pershing Road – Warrant Service – A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for statutory rape at his parent’s home. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-004312 – 3800 BLK Bennett Road – Suspicious Person – Officers responded to the area after a concerned citizen reported a shirtless male swinging a stick at passing vehicles and yelling at them. Police located the man who claimed he was not swinging the stick at cars. He was advised to stay out of the road and away from vehicles.
Night Shift April 6
24-004329 – Donaldson Road/Claremont Avenue – Shots Fired – A reporting party stated he heard five gun shots near his home. Police checked the area but did not locate any casings or signs of distress.
24-004332 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft from Vehicle – A man reported his Glock 26 was stolen from his vehicle. He did not have the serial number for the firearm at the time of the initial report. No suspect information was available.
24-004348 – 5000 BLK South Terrace – Suspicious Activity – An unidentified individual called the 911 Center stating she was being held hostage in a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-24. The vehicle description was not provided. The caller later stated the vehicle had left the interstate and was in the parking lot of the theater. ERPD and HCSO units checked the area but did not locate a match. The individual called back and provided the address on Pleasant Street. Units checked the area and found the address to be an empty lot. The 911 call taker reported hearing a police scanner in the background when the alleged victim called in the updated locations. The calls stopped after the police checked the Pleasant Street address. Police were unable to determine the authenticity of the calls. The incident originated in Chattanooga under CPD 24-014213.
Day Shift April 7
24-004348 – 5000 BLK South Terrace – Suspicious Activity – Further information from Midnight shift: The caller later called 911 and is OK and relayed the following: “TEXT SENT WITH THE VIDEO : I called earlier I went on a date the guy got weird didn’t t want me to leave he pulled over and put me out in nice he seen I called the police. I got a ride and just got a new charger for my ono e. I am ok thank you.” It is currently unclear as to where this incident occurred.
24-004353 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Well-Being Check – Police were informed by employees of a woman flopping on the floor in the restroom. Officers observed the suspect acting erratic and not able to control her body movement. She informed police she did take methamphetamine and had last used it on the afternoon of 04/06/2024. Police felt she was unable to care for herself due to her level of impairment. She was charged with public intoxication and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
24-004356 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – MVC/Stolen Vehicle Recovery – Police responded to a hit-and-run crash at this location. The car causing the accident, a Volvo XC90, was found to have been stolen out of Chattanooga. The driver and passenger fled the scene and were described as young males. The owner was contacted, and the vehicle was recovered.
24-004355- 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue- Vehicle Recovery- During routine patrol, an in-car LPR hit on a stolen vehicle in the apartment complex. The black Kia Forte was stolen out of Chattanooga and was used in connection with several vehicle burglaries. Chattanooga Police responded to process the vehicle.
Night Shift April 7
24-004377 – 1500 BLK Mack Smith – Disorder – The caller reported a rolling disorder that began in Catoosa County, went through East Ridge, and ended on Brainerd Road. He stated the disorder began in Georgia when he observed a white F-150 driven by a known party on his street. He followed the F150 out of his neighborhood and stated the F-150 attempted to reverse into his vehicle at the intersection of Mack Smith Road and Ringgold Road. He continued to follow the truck until it pulled into a hotel off Brainerd Road. At that location, three armed males met the driver at his truck, so he left the area. Police found no video evidence or witnesses that observed the incident, and the suspect could not be reached. No charges were filed for the incident.
24-004384 – 5200 BLK State Line Rd – Domestic Assault / Arrest – Police responded to the residence for an open 911 call with a female crying in the background. At the location, police found a male had assaulted his girlfriend. The male was arrested for Simple Assault (Domestic).
24-004390 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation / Arrest – A woman was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia following a consensual encounter at the car wash. The Red Bank PD K9 responded to the location and assisted in locating the narcotics. Police transported her to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
HCSO 24-014279 – I24 Eastbound, MM 183 – Assist Other Agency – Dispatch notified ERPD units that Hamilton County Deputies were in pursuit of a black motorcycle operated by a male with a black hoodie, gray shorts, and a black helmet. Deputies terminated the pursuit due to traffic on I-24 near East Ridge. ERPD units later observed the motorcycle traveling on South Terrace. The motorcycle then exited back onto I-24 Eastbound and switched over to I-75 Northbound. ERPD units did not attempt to stop the motorcycle since it was observed outside their jurisdiction. Dispatch and the HCSO units were updated.
Day Shift April 8
24-004410- 4214 Ringgold Road- Found Property- A man came to the police department to report a found firearm. He had purchased his truck and found a High Point 45 ACP under his seat. The firearm was run through NCIC with no hit and entered in property and evidence for safekeeping.
24-004413- 900 BLK South Crest Road- Burglary- Officers responded on a suspected burglary in progress at this location. After speaking with the RP, it was found the incident involved several juveniles fighting with each other. This incident is still under investigation.
Night Shift April 8
24-004425 – 6100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded to a homeless couple on Spring Creek Road. The complainant told police they don’t mind the homeless visiting for showers and food, but not to set up camp on their property. Police relayed the information to the parties. Nothing further.
24-004435 – 3100 BLK Old Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person – Police contacted a man who was riding a bicycle without a light. He had a warrant from Catoosa County, GA and was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
