Day Shift March 21
24-003549 – 100 BLK East Ridge Dr – Possible Structure Fire – East Ridge Fire Department and East Ridge Police Department arrived on scene and secured the house and roadways for a fire investigation. ERFD went in the house and found the reason behind the smoke. A pizza box was left on the stove top. The stove was turned on and heated the box, causing a large amount of smoke. The house was vented by a fan.
24-003552 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – A green SUV (Ford) with “covid releaf” was parked with a male sleeping inside. Upon arrival, a man stated he was sleeping, He then began talking about gravity, covid, and talking through radio waves. He was found to have a warrant through Catoosa County for failure to appear on a property damage. Catoosa officials stated they would extradite, so he was transported to Hamilton County Jail pending transfer to Georgia.
24-003558 – 7609 Standifer Gap Rd – Warrant Service – A warrant was served on a party for Probation Violation (Poss of Meth).
24-003562 – 800 BLK Stateline Rd – Theft – A labor contractor got into the back of a truck and stole $500 from an employee’s wallet. Upon arrival police observed the truck was parked on the Georgia side of Stateline Road. The victim was given the information and Catoosa County was contacted by police. No crime occurred in East Ridge.
Night Shift March 21
24-003576 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a traffic stop with a Chevrolet sedan. The driver initially provided a false name but was later identified. Police found drug paraphernalia and crack cocaine in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged with Criminal Impersonation and Possession of Schedule II. The passenger was also arrested for Possession of Schedule II. At the Hamilton County Jail, she was found to have a balloon of contraband concealed inside her person. She was taken to a nearby hospital where it was revealed the balloon contained marijuana and drug paraphernalia. As a result, she was charged for Tampering with Evidence. The HCSO Criminal Investigation Division will investigate the incident and potentially charge her with Introduction of a Controlled Substance in Penal Institute.
24-003568 – 1500 BLK East Ridge Avenue – Civil Matter – The homeowner reported an unknown construction company damaged his yard and left trash outside his house while putting up a sign. Police found minor damage to the yard and plastic water bottles near the sign. Police informed the homeowner the identity of the construction company was needed to address the issue.
24-003577—6100 BLK Marietta St—Check Well-Being – The reporting party requested a welfare check for his father at this location. The reporting party stated his father did not sound well during a phone call earlier in the evening. Police spoke with the father and found that he could answer basic questions. He declined medical treatment.
24-003578 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police were dispatched to this location based on the anonymous report of a male and female arguing. Upon arrival, police located the couple sitting in a van in the parking lot. Both parties denied any altercation took place. A field interview was conducted, and the two individuals were asked to park elsewhere for the night.
No Number – 1600 BLK S Seminole Drive – Citizen Assist – The resident contacted dispatch and requested police assistance with an electric appliance that was unplugged behind her bed. She was kindly informed the situation was not a police matter. Dispatch contacted her son and made him aware of the situation.
