Day Shift March 19
24-003446 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge officers assisted units from Chattanooga Police and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department in the felony stop and apprehension of suspects in a shooting incident involving persons shot in the Eastgate area near the Family Justice Center.
24-003449 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Stolen Vehicle Recovery – After receiving an LPR alert of a stolen vehicle on Camp Jordan Parkway, officers located the vehicle as it was parking at Bass Pro Shops. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. He was captured after a brief foot chase. He was ultimately taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen automobile, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, possession of methamphetamine, possession of mushrooms, possession of marijuana and driving while suspended.
24-003451 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Narcotics Violation – The passenger in a stolen vehicle was Misdemeanor Cited for Simple Possession.
24-003453 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Assault in Progress – A caller reported around six juveniles at this location assaulting a single juvenile. Officers were quickly on scene and were unable to locate any large groups of juveniles.
24-003492 – 1000 BLK John Ross Road – Suspicious Person – Police were dispatched to a suspicious, potentially homeless person, sitting at East Ridge Elementary School, covered head to toe with a blanket. Officers determined this was an employee awaiting to enter the school while attempting to keep warm.
24-003432 – 3600 BLK Larry Lane – Backup Other Agency – Police assisted in contacting a suspect in a hit-and-run for Fort Oglethorpe. Police spoke with the party and informed her that an Officer from Fort Oglethorpe has been trying to contact her. She was advised to contact the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department regarding the matter.
24-003425 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive– Domestic Assault – Police spoke with a man who stated he did not physically assault his girlfriend but only had a verbal argument. His girlfriend stated she was in a verbal argument, but it turned physical when he swung at her with a closed fist and contacted her head. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift March 19
24-003463 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Found Property – A .22 caliber firearm was brought to the police station after being located at a rest stop in the area of 100 Interstate 24 EB. The reporting party told police she was unable to contact the responsible jurisdiction because of a family emergency; however, wanted to safely turn the firearm over to police. The firearm was placed into property and a miscellaneous report was filed.
24-003461- 400 BLK Alice Drive – Public Intox Arrest – The caller advised police a male had broken into his vehicle. Police located the suspect standing by the vehicle. The victim said nothing was missing from the vehicle and did not wish to prosecute. The suspect admitted to smoking methamphetamine about an hour prior to the incident and was just trying to find a place to lay down. Police were informed that he lived on site and is the maintenance man for the apartment complex. He was taken into custody for public intoxication and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-003467 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Back EMS – At the request of HCEMS, officers stood by while they tended to a mentally disturbed patient.
24-003482 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police served a Petition to Revoke (Domestic Assault) warrant while the subject was in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
24-003477 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Wellness Check – Ringgold Police Department requested ERPD check on man after he was dropped off at a gas station by the Ringgold Police Department. ERPD immediately determined that he was highly intoxicated. The Ringgold Police Department had been dispatched to the Ringgold Pizza Hut following a suspicious activity complaint. The man advised Ringgold PD he wanted to go to get back to Michigan. Ringgold PD advised he seemed intoxicated, but still brought him and dropped him off in East Ridge. Police placed him into custody due to his level of intoxication hindering his ability to care for himself. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-003466 – 4300 BLK Dupont Street – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop light and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was determined to be revoked for DUI. She was then placed into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-003484 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – Police observed a white sedan run a red light on Ringgold Rd and conducted a traffic stop. Police conducted a search of the vehicle based on the odor of marijuana and found two grams of suspected methamphetamine, five grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Three people were arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
