Day Shift March 14
24-003200 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Barricaded Suspect – Officers responded to what was initially check the wellbeing call. Police located the party in a room. He was found to have federal warrants for narcotics sales. The party barricaded himself in the room and refused to exit. After negotiations he was taken into custody.
24-003185 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police spoke with the complainant who stated she was being stalked because someone was taking pictures of her vehicle while parked at the business. Police informed the complainant since she is in a public setting, she cannot have an expectation of privacy. The complainant understood and left without incident. It was later discovered that workers from an upcoming shop near the mercantile were the people taking the photos. They stated the vehicle looked out of place and that is why they took pictures.
24-003184 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – Traffic Stop/Arrest- ERPD stopped a vehicle for speeding. The operator stated he did not have a driver’s license, a state issued ID nor any form of identification whatsoever on his person, and vehicle is registered to a female, so no citation could be written. The operator was taken into custody.
24-003198 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Shoplifting- ERPD responded to the 1000 BLK of Bass Pro Drive. Loss Prevention stated he became aware of a shoplifted pair of sunglasses which were stolen on Monday. By checking security footage, he was able to determine what appears to be a dark colored van (with Illinois registration, cargo on the luggage rack and “Just Married” on the back glass) come into the parking lot on Monday 03/11. The suspect, a male with beard, is seen on the surveillance footage picking up a pair of Oakley sunglasses. He then put them on his head under his ballcap and casually walked out of the building. The registration on the vehicle is illegible. Checking the LPR at Camp Jordan, a matching vehicle was detected.
No Number Issued – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police observed a man walking east on the sidewalk pushing a Walmart shopping cart. Due to him walking away from the Walmart and not to it with the shopping cart, officers contacted the subject. He stated he was taking the cart to his apartment and would return it after delivering his groceries. Police noted his information, and he was sent on his way.
Night Shift March 14
24-003221 – 2000 BLK Prigmore Road – Suspicious Activity – Reporting party advised he heard a woman screaming not to choke her because she already had bruises. Officers spoke with the residents and were advised that no disorder had occurred at the residence. Officers did not observe any injuries to any party. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate anything out of the ordinary.
24-003222 – Ringgold Road @ Springvale Road – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – A woman was taken into custody for a Hamilton County Warrant for Theft of Property. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-003227 – Dover Lane @ Newport Drive – Suspicious Activity – Reporting party advise seeing several parties walking around a house carrying flashlights. It was later discovered that the homeowner was walking around his property after hearing someone calling for a pet.
24-003180 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody on active East Ridge warrants for Aggravated Domestic Assault and Evading Arrest. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-003215 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Brush Fire – Police extinguished a brush fire that was threatening property damage at this location. No one was injured by the fire and the cause was unknown.
24-003226 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police encountered a man. following a report of someone matching his description begging for a ride but becoming aggressive when denied. He was found to have a warrant out of Hamilton County for Aggravated Robbery. He ended up getting a ride curtesy of ERPD.
