Day Shift March 8
24-002908 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – Traffic Stop/Arrest- ERPD observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the 1000 block of South Seminole Drive. The speed verified by radar at 40 mph, 10 mph over the posted limit. A traffic stop was performed. The operator identified himself but had no form of identification on his person, had no stated issued ID, nor was the vehicle registered to him. Every available data source was checked for that name, but no information was found so no citation could be issued. He was arrested for traffic offenses.
24-002921 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- ERPD responded on report of shoplifting in progress. The store manager stated he observed two women stealing insulated drinking cups from inside the store. One remained in the store as the other woman ran to her vehicle and left the scene. The six items are valued at $188. The shoplifter who remained at the store stated she had three and the other had three, all of which were recovered by the manager. Warrants were sought to arrest the party who left the scene. The other woman was issued a misdemeanor citation for shoplifting and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
24-002917 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Vandalism – A man was arrested for vandalism after breaking the front glass on a store front.
24-002911- 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Vandalism- The clerk advised a customer became irate and attempted to pull the debit card reader off the counter and threw another debit card reader on the ground, damaging both. He estimated the total amount of damage at approximately $3,000. Police identified the suspect and warrants will be sought for vandalism.
24-002918- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- Asset protection reported two males and a female was shoplifting from the store and left in a grey Ford. Police observed a grey ford pull out of the lot and conducted a traffic stop. Three subjects were identified and admitted to shoplifting. The store declined to prosecute and just wanted the parties trespassed.
24-002922 – 1600 BLK Castleberry Ave – Burglary in Progress – An alert neighbor observed an unknown male subject kicking at the door at the residence next door. Prior to police arrival, he witnessed the man trying to pry open a front window before kicking at the door. Police responded and found the man still on the porch holding a large knife. He was detained and stated he was trying to wake up his uncle who lived at the residence. Police were able to get in contact with the owner of the residence who informed police he was not expecting anyone. The uncle was identified and stated he had not lived at the home in over five years. Police took the suspect into custody for attempted aggravated burglary and theft of property.
Night Shift March 8
24-002945 – 4100 BLK Cresthaven Drive – Disorder – Officers were contacted by a citizen that multiple parties were out yelling in their own front yard. On scene, officers observed two intoxicated parties searching for a lost dog. The parties were advised to go indoors and sober up.
24-002955 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – Police observed a blue SUV driving without a license plate and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. During the stop, the driver was found to not have a license, not have registration, be in possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-002947 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – Police observed a red Tesla strike a white Buick in the parking lot. A man was found to be the driver of the vehicle and appeared to be intoxicated. After conducting field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody for DUI and Implied Consent. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-002958 – Duval Street / Tombras Avenue – Traffic Stop – Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Toyota Camry for a tag light violation. The vehicle briefly stopped before taking off through a yard, damaging the vehicle. While checking the area for the vehicle police located debris in the roadway on Shadowlawn Drive. Officers found three females, one adult and two juveniles, hiding in a yard on Shadowlawn Drive. The vehicle was found wrecked in Chattanooga with no one inside the vehicle. The two juveniles were transported to JDU. Warrants will be sought once the identity of the driver is known.
Day Shift March 9
24-002962 – 1500 BLK Garner Cir – Child Found – Police spoke with a concerned citizen who had found a child off Mac Smith and Ringgold Road. She found the child in the middle of the road and had put him in her car for his safety. The child is six-years-old and non-verbal. He had left his residence once before this incident. Police were able to locate the mother of the child.
24-002970- 2100 BLK Dugan- Burglary of Auto- The resident reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked Nissan Altima sometime between 0100 hrs. and 1300 hrs. today. She stated the suspects stole two Gucci purses, three pairs of Nike shoes, and an iPhone 7. She did not have any information on the iPhone so it could not be tracked.
24-002969- 3700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- Police were called to this location for parties refusing to leave the store. Several parties were all trespassed from this location due to causing a disorder.
Night Shift March 9
24-002991 – 1600 BLK South Seminole Drive – Shots Fired – The caller reported hearing two shots fired in the area. Police checked the area but did not locate anything.
24-002981 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest- Police located a woman who appeared to be intoxicated and smelled strongly of the odor of an alcoholic beverage. She was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation before being transported for Public Intoxication.
24-002975 – Springvale Road / Key West Avenue – Citizen Encounter – Police observed a silver Nissan Altima parked in the corner of Springvale Park. Police contacted the sole occupant and determined he was a pizza delivery driver waiting to begin his shift. He was advised to contact ERPD if we could ever be of any assistance to him.
24-002995 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was served seven Forfeiture Capias warrants for Simple Assault, Aggravated Criminal Trespass, Joyriding, Duty Upon Striking Fixtures Upon a Highway, Due Care, Driving on Revoked, and Financial Responsibility while in custody of HCSO.
24-002988 – 3600 BLK Phelps Street – Arrest – Upon investigating the crash, the driver was determined to be intoxicated. He was placed into custody for DUI, Open Container, Financial Responsibility, No License, No Insurance, and No Registration.
24-002994 – John Ross Road @ Shirl Jo Lane – DUI – A man was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this address for DUI. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-002998 – 1100 BLK Greens Lake Road – Suspicious Activity – A resident at this address notified police of a male, observed on his security cameras, who was attempting to gain access into his barn. The resident later requested police to cancel because the party did not enter the barn. They were advised to call back if any further issue was to occur.
Day Shift March 10
24-002997 – 700 BLK S Germantown Road – Domestic Assault – A man was arrested for Domestic Assault against his wife.
24-003000/01- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest- Officers were patrolling the parking lot when a license plate reader (LPR) alerted for a wanted vehicle. Officers contacted a man in a nearby room, who gave police a false name. Officers observed an open bathroom window and discovered the wanted female had fled. She was found moments later and taken into custody for evading arrest, aggravated domestic assault and violation of order of protection. The man was taken into custody for violation of order of protection and criminal impersonation.
Night Shift March 10
24-003024 – Spring Creek Road / Ringgold Road – Citizen Encounter – Police observed a female walking east bound on Ringgold Road who appeared to be in distress. Police contacted the female and determined it was likely she was a mental health consumer whose behavior was not abnormal for her. She asked Police if they would allow her to continue walking up and down Ringgold Road to which she did without further issue.
24-003021 – 800 BLK Belvoir Hills Drive – Disorder – Two parties were in a disorder that turned into harassment regarding abandoned property. This encounter will be documented per their request.
Day Shift March 11
24-003036- 600 BLK Melville Avenue- AOA/Fire Alarm- Police responded with ERFD on a fire alarm at this location. It was found burning food was the cause of the alarm.
24-003044- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Unconscious Person/AOA Warrant Service- A woman was detained on a Whitfield County warrant following an unconscious person call at this location. She was transported without incident.
Night Shift March 11
No Number Assigned – 1000 BLK S Seminole Dr – Traffic Stop – Police conducted a traffic stop at this location on a vehicle with a suspended registration. The driver was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of General Sessions Court.
24-003055, 24-003057 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Fight – Police responded to this location for an open line on 911 and sounds of a fight in the background. Officers were unable to determine a primary aggressor and took a party into custody for Criminal Impersonation (24-003055) and two outstanding Forfeiture Capias warrants (24-003057) through East Ridge.
23-003065 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police served warrants on a man for Carjacking, Burglary and three counts of Theft of Property.
24-003071 – 1500 BLK Burns Avenue – Traffic Stop/Evading – Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Red Dodge Charger with aftermarket window tint. The vehicle initially stopped at Burns Ave and Stateline Road. However, when officers approached the vehicle, it fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound in the 5000 block of S. Terrace. The vehicle was BOLO’ d county wide for felony evading and reckless driving.
24-003074 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Arrest – Following a traffic stop a man was placed under arrest for Driving under the influence, No Driver’s License, Financial Responsibility Law, and Light Law Violation. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
