Day Shift March 6
24-002820- 1300 BLK Coleman Circle- Domestic Assault- Police spoke with the caller who stated she and her son were in a verbal disagreement. She stated he had lost his temper, shoved her against the refrigerator door and hit her on the top of the head. Police noted scratch marks with dried blood on both of her forearms. Police also spoke with the suspect who stated he did in fact initiate the fight and put hands on the victim. He was arrested and charged with domestic assault.
24-002821- 900 BLK McHann Drive- Pedestrian Struck/Violation of Protection Order- Police located a party who stated his ex-girlfriend struck him with her car. He stated the suspect contacted him while he was walking East on Ringgold Road. He stated a little while later he was walking on McHann when she ran into him. Police observed visible markings on his left leg consistent with the reported assault. Police identified the vehicle registered to suspect, and also verified that there is an active protective order against the suspect that lists the victim as the protective party. Warrants are pending for aggravated assault (domestic) and violation of protection order.
24-002827- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised of a male acting strange. On arrival officers encountered the subject. While speaking with him he was found to be wanted out of Marion County. He was transported to jail.
Night Shift March 6
24-002821 – 900 BLK McHann Drive – Aggravated Assault-VOP Violation – ERPD was notified that a deputy of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office located a 2012 Hyundai Sonata which was placed in NCIC (Assault from McHann Drive). The suspect of this incident was not in the vehicle. After checking the report, the vehicle was released.
24-002843 – 500 BLK Wando Dr – Auto Theft – The caller has requested to press charges against a party for taking her vehicle without her consent after working on it. Warrants for the man’s arrest will be sought for theft.
24-002850 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Back Fire – Police stood by while fire handled a small fire inside the hotel.
24-002853 – 4300 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Animal Call – Police responded to a suspicious package left on their front porch. Upon further investigation police discovered a female cat and her kitten inside the box. Police transported the felines to East Ridge Animal Services where they were left for adoption.
