Day Shift December 7
23-015436 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity – ERPD responded to reports of a male looking into vehicles at Camp Jordan. The area was checked with no one located matching the description.
23-015440 – 3600 BLK Helen Lane – Suspicious Activity – ERPD responded to reports of a male, black pants, on a bicycle “checking mailboxes.” The area was checked with no one located matching that description.
23-015418 – 2000 BLK Prigmore Road – Alleged Child Abuse – During the early morning hours on evening shift, a party called from Georgia and requested police check the well-being on his child after a concerning conversation with the child’s mother. He then called at the beginning of dayshift to report additional allegations.
23-015429 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Theft – The victim reported a check she placed into a mailbox at the post office at 1510 Maxwell Rd was stolen and altered from the original payee and amount.
Night Shift December 7
23-015457 – I-75 NB MM 1.00 – Pursuit / DUI – Deputies with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office pursued a suspected DUI vehicle up I-75 Northbound. The pursuit was cancelled as it entered Tennessee. ERPD units responded to the location and observed a gray Chevrolet Malibu traveling at a low speed and weaving among the lanes on the interstate. An ERPD unit initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle refused to stop. ERPD units pursued the vehicle at a low rate of speed due to the threat of the vehicle to public safety. ERPD also blocked civilian traffic from approaching the weaving vehicle. The suspect vehicle ran into the interstate dividing wall near the Rossville Blvd exit. The vehicle traveled another half mile and stopped. The driver was identified and arrested on suspicion of DUI. CPD, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and THP units responded to the location to assist with the investigation and traffic control.
23-015458 – 700 BLK Eileen Lane. – Assist Fire – Officers responded, evacuated residents, and stood by while ERFD extinguished an attic fire.
