Day Shift December 6
23-015397 – 5000 BLK Newport Dr – Theft – The resident reported the theft of an AR-15 from his residence sometime between 11/03-11/07/23. It was described as green in color with a desert tan stock, 18-inch barrel and 6 magazines containing approximately 25-27 rounds each. The firearm was entered into NCIC as stolen.
23-015391-1600 Sunray Drive-Broken Down Vehicle- ERPD assisted in starting a broken-down vehicle waiting in line for groceries at a local church.
23-015398-1603 S Smith Street- Domestic Assault- Police were called to this address for a male dragging a female and assaulting her in the yard. Police met with a woman who stated she and her husband were in a verbal altercation only. Both parties told police nothing physical happened and did not want to cooperate with police.
23-015384 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – The owner reported observing a subject in a gray hoodie on the roof of the business through the closed-circuit television surveillance. On arrival, police found it was a worker the caller had hired to work on the business.
Night Shift December 6
23-015407 – 6710 Ringgold Road– Unknown Trouble – Police responded regarding an allegation of multiple armed suspects within a room. Police cleared the room and contacted the reporting parties who stated someone had been following them from Nashville and were attempting to kill them with a shotgun. Police spoke to witnesses and staff, but no one saw anything regarding the alleged incident.
23-015409 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police observed high activity at a hotel room. Police conducted a knock and talk and observed a man who had active warrants out of Collegedale and Hamilton County.
No Case Number Assigned – 700 BLK Donaldson – Assist Other Agency – Officers attempted to contact the owner of a vehicle that Chattanooga Police were out with to verify the owner was aware of the location and the person in possession of the vehicle. Officers were unable to contact the registered owner.
23-015413 – 1300 BLK Saint Thomas Street – Disorder – The resident reported a disorder with his roommate. Police found no evidence of an assault and determined the disorder was verbal only with no threats made. After speaking with police, both agreed to leave each alone for the rest of the evening.
