Day Shift November 9
23-014207 – 900 BLK South Seminole Drive – Pursuit – East Ridge Police patrol units observed a vehicle wanted in connection with a gun crime in Chattanooga at the above address. Crime Suppression Units and Patrol set up surveillance on the vehicle for several hours. The suspect vehicle, driven by the subject wanted in connection with the crime, left the residence at approximately 1215 at a high rate of speed. A high-speed pursuit ensued through multiple residential streets in Chattanooga. ERPD caught the suspect vehicle in the 1200 block of Wheeler Ave where the subject was taken into custody. He will be charged by ERPD with multiple offenses including felony evading, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless driving and reckless endangerment. Chattanooga has charges pending.
23-014218 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Domestic Assault/Vandalism – Initially, police responded after it was reported male damaged two windows. After arriving on scene, it was found the male assaulted his female companion during an argument after he ingested an unknown amount of Xanax. He was last seen walking westbound on Slater Road. Warrants for Domestic Assault and Vandalism will be sought.
Night Shift November 9
23-014218 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Supplement / Warrant Service – Police returned to the hotel after receiving a report that the suspect from the earlier vandalism and assault was back on the property. Police also found that he had made additional verbal threats to his female companion. Police located him across the road inside a restaurant. Police then determined that he had an active warrant out of Hamilton County. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-014228 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – False Report – An unidentified female contacted Dispatch and stated she shot her husband and left him at their home in Downtown Chattanooga. The caller would not provide the address of the home. The caller further stated she was in a beige Honda Accord outside of a business in East Ridge and still had the gun. Police responded to the business in East Ridge and the location in the Brainerd area with CPD. No one matching the caller’s description was found. Police called the number and briefly spoke with the female during the search of the area. A follow-up phone call found the number had been deactivated. Dispatch looked up the names provided by the caller and found no one in the area matched the information. CID researched the phone number and found it was a temporary number generated through the Text Now website application. The name associated with the website account was also found to be suspect. Police conducted a secondary sweep of the respective areas and found nothing. The call appeared to have been a hoax.
23-014236 – Welcome Center I-75 – Warrant Service – Police observed an improperly parked vehicle in the parking lot of the Welcome Center. Police approached the vehicle and identified the driver. Police then found that he had a Child Endangerment warrant out of Sequatchie County. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-014240 – Interstate 24, MM 183 – Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a traffic stop with a blue Nissan Altima exhibiting an expired registration tag. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, 22 grams of methamphetamine were found hidden in it. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, then transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-014242 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Rd. – Disorder – Officers responded to this location in reference to a disorder. Officers were advised a male dressed in a black shirt and white pants carrying a backpack was at this location and refused to leave. The employee of the business requested for the party to be trespassed. Police checked the area but the suspicious person was not located.
