Day Shift October 30
23-013755- 6000 BLK Welworth Ave.- Misc- Police responded to this location on a domestic disorder at the request of East Ridge Fire. Two people had gotten into a heated verbal argument. One had placed the other’s clothing on the grill and set the items ablaze. ERFD responded to extinguish the fire, but the altercation escalated. The man opted to leave for the evening and the woman was explained the laws regarding unpermitted burns during the county’s burn ban.
23-013759- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Assault- Police responded to an assault in progress. Officers spoke with the reporting party who stated he was unhappy with the treatment of the daycare and wanted to file a report. The caller stated an employee told him to step outside where he began to assault him. The other party stated he did not assault but escorted him outside due to him putting others in fear. Police will check with the owners later to review video footage to determine if charges will be filed.
23-013758 – 1100 BLK San Hsi Drive – Pedestrian Struck – Police were dispatched to this location regarding a juvenile being struck by a vehicle. According to witness’ and the driver and passenger of the vehicle, the child was crossing between vehicles from Spring Creek Road onto San Hsi Drive. The child ran out in front of oncoming traffic. The oncoming vehicle was unable to stop, and the vehicle bumped into the child. The child was taken for medical evaluation. Police spoke with school staff regarding the incident. No further police action taken at this time.
23-013745 – 5300 BLK Lazard Street – Domestic Assault – A man came to the East Ridge Police Department to report ongoing physical violence against him by the female suspect. He had physical evidence of assault on his body. Warrants will be sought.
23-013748 – 1500 BLK Maxwell Street – Mail Theft – The RP had a check stolen counterfeited and cashed after dropping the check in the mailbox at the post office.
23-013753 – 1500 BLK Maxwell Street – Mail Theft – The RP had a check stolen counterfeited and cashed after dropping the check in the mailbox at the post office.
Night Shift October 30
23-013763 – 3900 BLK Fountain Ave – Shots Fired – Police responded to this address based on a report of several gunshots in the area. Police searched the area but did not locate any suspicious activity. Another individual reported seeing fireworks near the area.
23-013774 – 400 BLK S Seminole Dr – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to this address after receiving a report that approximately six males were attempting to access vehicles while armed with handguns. The reporting party stated the suspects were driving a dark red hatchback and were last seen traveling southbound on S Seminole Drive. Police checked the area but did not locate the suspects or the vehicle.
23-013775 – 2000 BLK Lee St – Disorder/Warrant Service – Police responded to a delayed disorder complaint. On scene, police met with an employee who reported a disorder with a man at her home on Lee St. Police determined the disorder was verbal only; however, the man was found to have an active warrant through the City of East Ridge. Police went to the home, set up a perimeter, and called out the suspect. He attempted to leave the residence through the backdoor but was greeted by police. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. He was also charged with vandalism for breaking a television that was owned by the victim.
Day Shift October 31
23-013779 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Rd – Trespass – A woman was located sleeping on the sidewalk of the laundromat. She was trespassed from this location. She requested transport to a hospital for a medical issue. Transport was provided by EMS.
23-013781 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Arrest – While conducting a business check of the property police encountered a security guard. He was found to have an active warrant for theft through Hamilton County. He was transported to jail without incident.
23-013788 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Disorderly Conduct – Police received reports of male subject yelling and cutting himself with a razor blade. Officers arrived and encountered the party who had several deep cuts on his right arm and was highly agitated. He stated he wasn’t trying to harm himself. He went on to explain his attempt to use the razor blade to create a dragon tattoo on his arm. While performing the artistic feat he began arguing with himself causing a disturbance. The man was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his wounds. While at the hospital he again became disorderly. He was medically cleared and transported to the Hamilton County Detention Center for disorderly conduct.
Night Shift October 31
Multiple neighborhood patrols in support of Halloween Activities in East Ridge and Ridgeside.
23-013805 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Disorder/Warrant Service – Police responded in reference to two parties in a verbal altercation. Police contacted a man who stated he had an argument with his girlfriend. Police then found that she had left the hotel. The man was arrested for three outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County for Theft, Vandalism, and Domestic Assault.
23-013809 – 1500 BLK Fruitland Dr – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to this location in reference to a suspicious person. The homeowner advised that a male approached the door, played with the camera, and then left heading southbound. Police canvassed the area but were unable to locate the party.
23-013810 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Rd – Overdose / Arrest – Police were called for a male and female overdosing in a car. On scene two parties were transported where they were treated. Upon release, they were taken into custody and charged with possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
23-013816 – 1600 BLK S Seminole Dr – Suspicious Activity – The caller reported hearing strange noises outside her home and thought someone was lurking around her house. Police checked the exterior of the home and found no signs of a prowler or other suspicious activity.
23-013819 – 1200 BLK John Ross Rd – Domestic Assault – A couple engaged in a verbal argument at this location. During the argument, the man brandished a handgun and made verbal threats toward the female. He was charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic) and safely transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
