Day Shift October 13
23-012993 – 700 BLK S. Moore Rd. – Domestic Assault/ Disorder – Police were dispatched to S. Moore Road on a domestic assault complaint. The complainant stated he and his father had gotten into a verbal argument over an issue with cell phones belonging to the family. The witness in the incident stated nothing physical occurred, but it was very loud and volatile.
Night Shift October 13
No Case Number – Anderson & S Terrace – Unknown Disorder – CPD requested ERPD to respond to this location, due to CPD being without an officer to respond, regarding an unknown disorder involving a male who believed he was being followed. The suspect told police he was regretful about exposing himself to truck drivers on the interstate and he asked how long he would have to pay for his mistakes. He told police he was sorry for his mistake and was going to start attending church again. Police determined the man was not a safety risk to himself or others and released him on site.
23-013011 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Misc Complaint – A man requested to meet with a supervisor regarding the medical care his child is receiving. He had called the police out to the hospital on a prior date regarding the same issues. Police explained there was no crime being committed and he would need to speak with hospital administration regarding his concerns. He stated he would get the media involved and that the Chief of Police would not like to see an ERPD patrol car or a uniformed ER Police Officer on the news. Report on file, no further police action taken.
23-013010 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop at this location, a woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Soddy Daisy.
23-013008 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road- Assault – Police responded to this location regarding a female getting assaulted by her husband. Dispatch advised the male had left on foot. While in route police found the man in the 6600 Block of Ringgold Road. He was detained and transported back to the scene. His wife stated they had gotten into an argument when he caused her to fall out of her wheelchair. He was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift October 14
23-013021- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- The caller advised a male was chasing a female with a gun. On scene the male had already left the property. Officers located the female victim and learned the incident occurred over an argument in the parking lot. This incident is still under investigation.
23-013026- 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a male was taking pictures of children at the park. He was last observed walking toward Speedway. The man was not located.
Night Shift October 14
23-013034 – 800 BLK Belvoir Avenue – Disorder / Warrant – Police responded to a disorder reported by neighbors where two parties were arguing loudly. The male party was identified and had a warrant for his arrest in East Ridge for Alias Capias. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-013042 – 5000 BLK Ringgold Rd – DUI Traffic Stop – Police conducted a traffic stop on a sliver dodge Durango swerving in the 5000 block of Ringgold Rd. After showing multiple clues on the standard field sobriety test, the male driver was arrested for DUI and transported to Hamilton County Jail without further incident. His car keys and wallet were given to his brother.
23-013035 – 4000 BLK Bennett Road – Disorder – Police responded to this address regarding a disorder and a party yelling threats. Police contacted the subject in question at the intersection of Greenslake Road and Bennett Road. After speaking with the homeowners, he was issued a trespass warning from the residence. The homeowner stated he could retrieve a bag of his belongings later but was advised to call the police first.
Day Shift October 15
23-013047- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Disorder- On arrival police spoke with four people who advised a woman had attacked them in front of the hospital after a verbal argument had taken place. Officers observed a cut on one party’s forehead, but he denied needing medical assistance. The suspect was in the Labor and Delivery ward. She advised she was attacked by one of the people outside the hospital, so she defended herself against all four parties. Police also spoke with hospital security. They were able to show security camera footage of the incident. The footage shows the suspect pushing and then punching the original complainants as they defended themselves. The suspect received a misdemeanor citation for assault.
23-013049- 4200 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder/Arrest- On arrival police spoke with the complainant who advised she had just gotten into an altercation with her coworker. She had visible injuries to her face but declined medical attention. She relayed that she and the coworker had gotten into an altercation where she had choked her, pulled her hair, and scratched her. Officers also spoke with the other party who stated they had gotten into a verbal altercation and stated, “she had gotten into my face and was spitting while talking, so I threw the first punch.” On duty staff were unable to provide an eyewitness account due to not seeing the altercation start. A general manager arrived and allowed police video access. While watching the video, it is clearly seen that they were in a heated verbal altercation, then the suspect wraps her hands around the complainant’s throat before grabbing her hair, punching her, scratching at her face, and taking her to the ground. The woman was taken into custody for the charge of aggravated assault and transported without incident.
23-013059- 4300 BLK Esterbrook Drive- Suspicious Activity- The caller advised sometime during the night an unknown suspect attempted to hot wire his car. Officers spoke to the caller who advised between 10/14/2023 1800 hours and 10/15/2023 1245 hours an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and damaged the ignition. Upon looking at the damage, the ignition was punched out. The broken parts were on the passenger floor.
Night Shift October 15
23-013075 – 7900 BLK East Brainerd Road – Warrant Arrest – A man was arrested on an East Ridge warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-013067,23-013068 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Arrest – ERPD officers received an license plate reader (LPR) hit for a stolen license plate in the 3600 block of Ringgold Road. Upon checking the area officers located the vehicle parked in a parking lot. Police contacted multiple subjects inside the vehicle along with a female who exited a business stating she recently got the vehicle. The license plate was later verified to be stolen out of Catoosa County. While conducting a pat down of a male subject, he admitted to having narcotics in his pockets. Officers retrieved approximately 6.3 grams of methamphetamine divided between two baggies along with a meth pipe and small amount of marijuana from the male’s pocket. The woman was issued a misdemeanor citation for the stolen license plate. The man was taken into custody for possession of meth for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Day Shift October 16
23-013082 – 4300 BLK Dupont Street – Attempted Auto Theft – The reporting parties stated they awoke to find their vehicle had been entered overnight. The suspects caused damage to the steering column and ignition switch in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle.
23-012098 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Found Property – A man found a pair of earbuds on the ground behind East Ridge Elementary School. They were secured in the East Ridge Police Department property room.
Night Shift October 16
23-13109 – 900 BLK South Seminole Drive – Assault – Officers responded to the location regarding an assault. Officers had responded to this location approximately 45 minutes prior regarding a civil matter. The victim advised a male had entered the residence, most likely invited by the victim’s baby’s mother, and assaulted the victim. Officers were able to identify the male and are seeking warrants for his arrest.
23-013116 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder with a Weapon – Police were dispatched to this location for a disorder between a man and serval other parties. They got into an argument after one spat in the other’s face. According to witnesses they saw the suspect brandish a firearm at the group and then give it to a friend that was on scene. The suspect then got into his vehicle and started to drive erratically, almost hitting parties walking in the parking lot. During his flight he struck a cart return stall and called the police. Police placed him into custody for disorderly conduct.
23-013122 – 2000 BLK Prigmore Road – Suspicious Persons – The caller advised four juveniles were seen breaking into vehicles. Per the caller the suspects ran towards State Line Road. Police checked the area and did not locate anyone. The caller advised they did not want to report any incidents.
