Road Closure

Choate Road at Ringgold Road to Close Briefly Next Week

Beginning on Tuesday, September 26 Talley Construction crews will close the intersection of Choate Road and Ringgold Road.

Construction is planned to begin on Tuesday and to be completed in about five days. During this phase of construction, the intersection will remain closed while crews install new crossings. Once completed, Talley Construction will open Choate Road at Ringgold Road.

During this closure, all traffic attempting to access Choate Road from Ringgold Road will be redirected to McBrien Road and Moore Road where alternate route and detour signs will be placed to guide motorists.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. Dick worked for the Chattanooga Free-Press and the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 22 years. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
