Day Shift September 14
23-011702- 5000 BLK S Terrace-Suspicious Person- Police contacted an individual riding a bike behind the movie theater. He stated he came from Dade County and simply wanted water to wash his face. The man was advised the movie theater did not provide water for bathing and was sent on his way.
23- 011703- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road-Unconscious Person- Officers observed a man unconscious on the ground with shallow breathing in a homeless camp. Police and Fire Department personnel each issued a dose of Narcan. EMS arrived and assisted police and fire personnel with the extraction of the man through rugged terrain.
23-011711 – 4300 BLK Bennett Road – Narcotics Violation – Police were dispatched to this location in reference to a narcotics violation. School Security advised police a THC vape pen was found on the ground, and another in the pocket of a student. School staff did not want to press charges and did not provide the name of the offending student.
23-011716- 1400 BLK Sewanee Drive- Shots Fired- Officers responded in reference to shots fired. Police did not observe any expended rounds, shell casings, or any sign of disturbance. Dispatch conducted a check of the history of the phone number of the caller. It was found it was related to a specific apartment. Police contacted the RP and found the call to be questionable in authenticity.
23-011725 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Shoplifting – Loss prevention associates detected a shoplifter exiting the store. The suspect entered a blue vehicle and fled the area at a high rate of speed as officers were arriving.
23-011709 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – During a traffic stop at this location, a man was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
23-011721 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – Police were patrolling the parking lot and observed a male in the driver seat who appeared to be passed out. As police were checking on the male party, they observed the male party lighting aluminum foil with a lighter. During a search of the vehicle a blue crushed pill was found along with several burnt pieces of aluminum foil. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence, possession of Schedule II, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Night Shift September 14
23-011730 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Police spoke to the reporting party at this address for a theft. They stated that an unknown female suspect stole approximately $100 worth of merchandise on June 16. The suspect came back on today’s date and fled the scene when the RP confronted her about the money from the stolen items. After further investigation police identified the suspect. Warrants are being sought for theft of property.
23-011731 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Indecent Exposure – Reporting party called police and stated that a male was behind their place of business performing lewd acts. Officer located the party and placed him into custody for public intoxication and public indecency.
23-011739 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – While conducting a park and walk, Police observed a clear plastic bag of suspected marijuana in the front seat of a Ford Mustang. Police determined the vehicle belonged to a guest of the hotel. Officers discussed the issue with him and determined he had purchased the marijuana but left it in the vehicle. The suspected marijuana weighed in at 10 grams and a misdemeanor citation for Simple Possession of Marijuana was issued.
