Day Shift September 12
23-011618- 3800 BLK Kingwood Circle- Vehicle Burglary- Police received a call regarding a vehicle being entered and items stolen during the night. The victim stated between the hours of (9-11-23) 2300 and (9-12-23) 0730 an unknown suspect entered her 2011 Chevrolet Traverse and took a pair of size seven (7) Fila shoes, a Sprite from a 12 pack, and around $40 in change. No evidence was present that could assist in the identification of a suspect.
23-011619- 700 BLK South Sweetbriar Avenue- Vehicle Burglary- The reporting party stated an unknown suspect entered her 2019 Nissan Moreno that was parked in the front driveway. It was rummaged through and the contents of her center console and glove compartment were removed. She reported her bank/debit card was missing along with $20 in cash. She also reported her debit card was used three times overnight to purchase merchandise from an online retail site. Three purchases were made in the amount of $189, $65, and $23 totaling $277. This with the cash taken from her car brings the amount of theft to around $300.
23-011622- 3800 BLK Kingwood Circle- Auto Theft- The victim called to report her vehicle, a white Honda Accord, stolen by an unknown suspect. The victim stated around 0200 hours she was outside and saw her vehicle parked. At 0830 hours she walked outside to drive to work, and her vehicle was gone. She stated the vehicle was paid up and it was not a repossession.
23-011636- 400 BLK South Moore Road- Disorder- The caller advised a male and female were fighting in the cab of a tan truck. On scene police located the vehicle unoccupied on the lot. The male and female were not located.
23-011638- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- On arrival, police spoke with the complainant and store manager. He advised he observed a female with brown hair a dark shirt and gray pants or jeans put items on a shelf at which point he began watching her on camera. The manager stated he observed the suspect leave the store at 1513 hours. He walked outside the store and saw the suspect sitting down out front of the store and confronted her. The suspect initially denied the theft then admitted to it. The suspect then acted as if she was going to hand him items but got up and fled on foot at a brisk walk eastbound. He provided police with a screenshot of the female suspect and advised his loss prevention officer will check the cameras more thoroughly later. The unknown female was not located.
23-011640- 1700 BLK Keeble Street- Disorder with a Weapon- The caller advised an unknown male entered the store demanding tobacco products for free. There was a slight altercation then the suspect brandished a firearm before leaving the business. He was last observed walking toward the apartments. Police checked the area, but the suspect was not located.
23-011641- 700 BLK Brookfield Avenue- Vehicle Burglary- The caller advised sometime during the overnight hours that an unknown person entered her vehicle without permission. There was nothing taken and there was no damage.
23-011642- 800 BLK Belvoir Hills Drive- Suspicious Activity- The caller advised an unknown male tried to enter his vehicle around 0459 hours this morning. He was not successful. The caller emailed a video of the suspect.
Night Shift September 12
23-011644 – 4100 BLK E Ridge Drive – Fire – Police responded to a report of a neighbor with a large fire in his yard. Police observed no fire and spoke to the resident who stated he had a large bonfire two nights before. Fire fighters provided literature on city ordinance regarding fires in the city limits.
23-011648 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded to this area due to a person swinging a long branch near people’s vehicles. Upon arrival police got out with a man who initially attempted to flee but was detained until further identified. Police interacted with him the previous night and instructed him to get off Ringgold Road and stay out of trouble. The man has non-extraditable warrants in GA.
23-011655 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft in Progress – Police were dispatched to a theft in progress. The owner was alerted of an intruder on her surveillance camera in the rear of the restaurant and observed a female with red hair taking a bottle of pesticide from the ground. The woman was found by police in the parking lot and matched the description of the suspect. While being detained, police observed drug paraphernalia protruding from her purse. She was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and given a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest.
